I must say I really dislike the normal Albany crowd which I would describe as a mix of ""I'm trying to act like I'm a tough guy from Brooklyn"" and ""suburban-ish thug"". Yeah. None of that at Blue 82. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed early, then picks up late for a nice hip feel. The music is a good blend of house and R&B with some rap, but nothing too intense. The drinks are a bit pricey, but you don't get $3/bottle no-name liquor if you order a drink without specifying a brand name, either. Blue 82 is a great place to go out if you're looking to have a good time without going wild and having to put up with the undesirable elements that come with a normal young Albany crowd.
Pros: Atmosphere, drinks, clientele, ample comfortable places to sit and relax
Cons: Small, can get very crowded later in the night
