Love this Place!!! Best Sushi in San Jose 8/11/2007

I have been eating at Blowfish at least once a week for a couple of years now. One of my clients introduced me to the place and I was hooked. The people there know what I what, and if I'm in a rush and I ask for the "regular" , there is no need to say more. The miso is always hot, the sushi is fresh, and I love their Hamachi Kama. I normally go at lunch, when I can get my Bento Box Lunch for only $9.99. I can barely finish it because there is so much food in it. The atmosphere is a bit club like, but that's what makes is so good for me. I can eat my food and get my groove on at the same time. more

Don't worry about the name, Rawfish doesn't bite 9/25/2005

Best sushi place i have been so far!! very creative presenation!! Don't need to study their menu, just don't be afraid to be a copy cat, look around, order what other people order, they are all good! Absolutely love their mango Mojito, not too sweet or strong, they use sake instead of vodka, try it! more

Blowfish blows!!! 8/5/2005

My first impression of the place was "wow!!" It was clean, really friendly environment and the place just looked great!! But then i saw the menu, i realized the prices weren't so great... Blowfish is awesome if you're into the whole asian fusion cuisine thing (an example is their mango sushi) since they have plenty of interesting items to choose from but if you're looking for authentic sushi, this place doesn't quite cut it. Plus its extremely pricey!! They have a huge bar with probably any drink you want but again, the price is horrible. This would be a great place for maybe a first date but in general, it's a rip off. more

Good Sushi 8/5/2005

Blowfish has very good food to offer. Its casual eating, so its not somewhere you would like to take a fancy, high-maintenance date. The setting is modern. However, it is on the pricey side so it may not be a good place to go if you are looking to eat a lot of sushi at once. Also their bar is very nice, again on the expensive side. But their service is very friendly. more
