I love grilled artichoke!! Bloom's grilled artichoke appetizer is no exception (pic uploaded), though $12 for the veggie is wee steep. more

Great food & Great service close to home 6/29/2008

My husband and I have enjoy going to great restaurants and are estatic to have one so close to home. The service and food are comparable with the best of Boulder or Denver, without the drive, the need to book a table days in advance or a lengthy wait for a table. We have dined at Bloom on numerous occassions and have always found the waitstaff to be attentive, friendly and eager to give suggestions regarding menu items. The menu has a great variety of items sure to satisfy many palates, my personal favorite is the Ahi Tuna and the Brie appetizer with a flight of wine from the extensive wine list. The lunch menu also has some great selections, including a succulent pastrami sandwich on a homemade pretzel roll. We would highly reccomend this restaurant. Pros: Great food, great wine, attentive waitstaff, outdoor seating, quick seating more

Average food, poor service, way overpriced 3/10/2008

Went to Bloom recently with some friends to celebrate their newborn kids and a birthday. As a first timer, I have to admit I was very disappointed in the food. Unimaginative and tasteless are two words that come to mind. The special soup tasted like something that could have come out of a can with Chef Boyardee on it, the tuna was average, the salad merely ok. Despite the fact that the restaurant was as quiet as a graveyard, we had to flag our waiter down for drinks, to order or to get bread. The only thing that was stellar was the price, which was absurdly high. Needless to say, I will only be recommending this restaurant to my worst enemies. Cons: overpriced, average food, poor service more

Excellent! 1/14/2008

I had low expectations for a suburb mall location, but Bloom was excellent. The smoked salmon on potato galettes was the best appetizer I've ever had. They bring you a small bite before you even order - we had a small salad with grilled shrimp. The portions are perfect - enough so you feel you got a good value, but not overly large. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The desserts were absolute perfection. Check this place out - even skeptical Denverites who think there are no good restaurants in the burbs will be pleasantly surprised. more

If you bored of the same old food, this place will wake up your tastebuds 2/2/2007

I must say this was the best experience I had coming from Chicago. The menu is a great fusion of everything a little bit of an asian touch. It was strange that the place is located outside of denver at a mall but it was such a great surprise for me since I was working out there. I had the scallops with forbidden rice and tuna for my app. I love it so much I went back the next day to try something else before my flight home. Pros: Parking, not to far from th airport, ambience Cons: It is far from the city. more

Great food; pretentious service 4/19/2003

I think Bloom has the potential to be a fine restaurant, but there just seems to something a bit off. Perhaps they can't remember they're at a mall for cryin out loud. The food is usually top rate, although a few of the dishes are a bit of a stretch, almost trying to hard to be trendy or different. The ambiance is nice, and a welcome respite from the constant buzz of the mall. The service, on each of my five visits, has been overly snooty, with a somewhat canned hip response to questions about the menu. Maybe its the mall kids that seem to hang out there. It ain't Lodo, and if a top drawer place like Mizuna can be extremely hospitable, so can Bloom. With some work on customer service, this could be a stellar place. Pros: Clever preparations, Comfortable seating Cons: Too clever preparatio, Mall kids more

Great atomosphere, good food. 4/12/2003

We enjoyed an early evening (apps & dessert) trip to Bloom. The appetizer selection was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices. As vegetarians, it was great to have more than one choice on the menu! Desserts were divine, and our wine flights a good expoloration of their themes. Service was OK, but not brilliant. The decor is lovely, seats comfortable. I was surpised at the lack of table linens. Pros: Nice atmosphere, broad menu, good parking more

Nice break from mall food. 3/17/2003

Bloom is a great place to take a mid-day break from shopping at the Flatirons Mall. They offer several light but tasty menu items in a contemporary, comfortable atmosphere. Lunch items are in the $8-$14 range. A nice alternative to eating in the food court. Pros: Decor, Light Entrees Cons: Sometimes a wait more

The BEST... 11/11/2002

The best meal I've had in a long time! I ate every single bite of my chicken breast and spinach ravioli. It was absolutely heavenly! The waiter, Buck, was wonderful in helping us choose wine (even though I don't think any server was over 21,but still great service). I cannot say enough good things about this place. I can't wait to go back!! Pros: don't pay for parking, exceptional food, exceptional service Cons: Waited for seating, little expensive more

Yum! 11/5/2002

First of all, great atmosphere. The design of the restaurant was super trendy. The food was fab and was served in correct proportion. Not to filling and not to little. The best Halibut ever! Three course meal will run $60-80, depending on how much wine and martinis you have. Although the waitstaff was a bit odd, I wonder if they are trained have a stern look and not smile - it was like talking to a robot. None the less, it was a great dinner at an exceptional price. Pros: Great locaion, not crowded, atmosphere!!!! Cons: Robot Waitstaff, semi slow service more

Enjoyable with Concerns 9/29/2002

We have enjoyed eating lunch here on several occasions and have tried the Angus Burger, Salmon Entree, and Chicken Salad Sandwich. I would note the portion size of the Salmon entree while properly prepared was disappointingly small (I mean small)when compared to higher caliber seafood restaurtants and the $11 lunch price Bloom attaches to this ration of Salmon. The decor is open but cozy with soft lighting and select tables offer some level of privacy. The seating areas and restrooms are clean and well maintained. Overall, the food was just fine, but I would agree it is nothing to write home about and certainly nothing to justify the cost of some selections. We have no intentions of rushing back to try others lunch or dinner selections based upon some of our concerns. Pros: Food preparation, food taste, Food presentation Cons: ServeSizeSomeDishes, PriceVsFood&Service more
