I love this place! Desiree not only is knowledgeable regarding the products she uses, but she is also extremely good at what she does. Since she has been cutting/coloring my hair, I have received numerous compliments and have given many referrals. As long as I live in this town Desiree will be my stylist. She truly is fantastic! more

AMAZING! 2/22/2012

LOVE BLONDE SALON! After moving to Birmingham 3 years ago, I searched high and dry for a decent hair salon. FINALLY - look no further than Blonde Salon! Desiree is amazing, attentive, and up to date on all trending styles. Everytime I call the salon they are accomodating and manages to make time, even for last minute occasions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! more

No Heart 10/7/2011

I miss Salon Raymond Barry!!! Every once in a while my family purchases a gift card for me to this location, however, I haven't been since they have changed to Blonde Salon... I bring in a 200$ gift card to get my hair done that is expired (since theirs are only good for one year), and the owner won't honor even a portion of it. I'm a single mom of two kids, in school full-time, and hardly have time to think about my hair... it sure would have been a decent act of kindness to have made an exception. Oh well. I will cut and dye my own hair and donate their tip to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society. : ) Have a nice day! more

Great Haircut with Matt 10/4/2010

On my first visit to Blonde, Matt did a great job giving me the new hairstyle I wanted. He was extremely professional and gave me a great cut. I showed him a picture and he gave me advice on styling tips and tools. He took his time making the cut, but didn't keep me there too long. I left with a great shorter hairstyle and my hair felt and looked great. Thanks Matt! more

LOVE CURT 9/8/2010

Curt has been my stylist now for almost 3 years! He always is up -to-date on the latest hair trends and uses his expertise to incorporate those trends into my style. He is spot on with what looks best for me. I have used a number of stylists in the US and Curt ranks as one of the best. I often recommend him and have sent a number of customers his way. You know your hair stylist is good when you receive compliments and someone asks how to get in touch with him. I love his work. Would never go to anyone else. more

I was looking for a new stylist in the Birmingham area and my friend sugguested her stylist ""Curt"" at Blonde Salon.Curt was waiting for me at the front desk when I arrived at salon. From the moment I met him I felt like we knew each other forever. He took his time with my consultation and listen to what I wanted done to my Cut and Color. He even brought out color swatches for me to look at. All I got to say about his work is THAT I LOVE IT! My the color and cut is exactly what I wanted! I saw Jessica a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to wait to see how the style and color looked after it settled in before I reviewed. It looked good right off the bat, and still looks good. She uses Goldwell color, which always does really well. It was enjoyable watching her cut/style my hair as well. Like watching an artist at work. more

I found the best! 7/16/2010

I recently moved from Phx, AZ to Birmingham...totally different climate. I found Shaun Gamel and so happy I did! My hair has never looked so good and been so manageable. I can honesly say he gives me the best haircut & color I've ever had!!! Shaun uses Goldwell products which are the best in my opinion. I have followed his advice as to which Goldwell products I should use and my hair looks great! I highly recommend Shaun Gamel!! Pros: Great Stylist & Great Salon Cons: Non more

BEST I've found in Birmingham 6/29/2010

Since finding Jessica at Blonde Salon I have looked forward to getting my hair cut--which is a big change for me. I am away at school, but I always wait until I come home to Birmingham so she can cut my hair. She listens to what style I want, and does JUST what I ask, but she is also good at making suggestions. She manages to make my hair look shapely even when it is straightened. She lets you know about new products, but never makes you feel like you have to buy them. I would highly recommend it! Best stylist in town! 3/17/2010

Shawn Gamel is an absolute necessity as far as I'm concerned as my hair has never looked better in my life. All the friends I've sent to him must agree as they are now referring their friends to him as well. You could not ask for a better person to keep your hair healthy while also giving you the best color & style. He is always up to date on the latest Goldwell products(best on the market!) and styles. This week he has introduced me to the Keratin process which I absolutely love what it's done for my hair. It's made it so much easier to style & control. Finally! 2/15/2010

I have recently had my second visit with Shawn Gamel. The first was for color and a hair cut, both were fantastic, he was recommended by a friend and I was skeptical at first. Shawn paid very close attention to what I asked for, the cut was perfect and the color is the best I have had since moving to Birmingham. My second visit was for a hair cut and color. He postponed my color because we both agreed it still looked great. I really appreciate his honesty and highly recommend him. Pros: Fantastic service, fantastic salon more

Just What I Wanted 12/29/2009

I'm in the process of relocating to Birmingham, and Curt was recommended by a friend who lives here. He was charming, listened carefully, and gave me the color and cut I wanted. In fact, it turned out better than I expected; the cut was precise and neat, and the color had a lot of dimension. I highly recommend him, and will be sure to come back. Bad Color 11/25/2009

Ok...for the prices they charge here they must be kidding me with the work that they do. I had highlights done here and they were horrible, the guy supposedly fixed them and made them worse. I would never step foot back in this place. I think everyone there is just out of school. What a nightmare! Cons: Bad Color more
