I requested a simple one-man handyman paint job for about $20 painting second floor shutters (I'd done the first floor ones rather sloppily myself).
Bljv arrived ahead of time (rare for many contractors) with two men and gave a very layered paint job on my shutters and siding, not missing a single edge, working for a good 40 minutes (mostly on getting perfect details/edges).
The end result looked better than most of the professionally priced $150+ paint jobs I have seen. And the clean-up was nothing short of perfect. Plus they didn't haggle the price at the end at all...they were so kind I almost felt guilty about it.
I ended up paying them $70 at my own request and realize that's still very little. I'm pretty sure their work easily added a couple thousand dollars to the value of my home.

I also found out these guys do dry-wall and tile repair and a host of other handyman services. It is a shame I didn't know about them before I got my house pressure-washed.

If you need a way to make your old house look brand new, these are the guys to call.
Pros: Price, attitude, patience, finished work
Cons: Not well advertised / hard to find out about.
