I was really hoping to make this my new place on Saturday nights, but it was a complete disappointment. When we walked in it was about half empty and the hostess area was abandoned. After 10 minutes, one of the waitresses pointed at a table. I was tired of the other patrons staring at us, so I grabbed a menu and sat down. \r \r We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and some drinks. Almost ten minutes later the drinks came and we placed dinner orders and ordered a couple of more drinks. This is where the train wreck started. The appetizer was delivered, then 2 or 3 minutes later the salads were brought out and as the salads where being sat down the entrees were headed our way. The salads were good, but they come with a side of dressing and my wife was able to spill half of it on her while uncapping it. Why couldn’t they bother to uncap their dressings before bring out the salads is beyond me.\r \r The mushroom appetizer and entrees were frozen Costco products. Their Crawfish Etoufee was flavorless, except for the over powering taste of raw onion. The center piece of the dish was a pile of rice that had been packed into a ramekin and dumped out. My wife had the Catfish with their “hand cut” prepackaged frozen fries. It was a $60 rip off.\r \r The atmosphere was something else. I was surprised to see Christmas decorations and even more intrigued by the New Years Eve drink menu at the table; considering I was there on Jan 26. The unisex bathroom had several warning signs to be sure to lock the door. Unfortunately the guy who was in the bathroom when my wife walked in hadn’t read the signs. At that point I had no desire to try a desert and got out of there as quickly as possible. \r \r If this place wants to improve then they have a lot of potential, starting with the kitchen. When you set the bar on the floor then it’s not difficult to do better. more

Worst service I've ever experienced anywhere 4/22/2012

This was my fourth visit and my last. The first two times went well, good service and food. A few months ago I brought my family and the service was poor (""sorry we're out of glasses""....served salad w/no silverware and had to track down the waitress who when asked for some said, ""Oh, yeah"" no sorry, nothing, very inattentive) and the fries were cold, and when I say cold, I mean COLD.\r \r I thought I would give it another chance last night...huge mistake. We (2 adults and 3 young children) sat for an hour and 40 minutes still not having had our meal served. The waitress (and I'm almost positive it was the same one from our last trip) would make an appearance every 15-20 minutes (she had no other tables in our section so where she was disappearing to is beyond me). The hostess actually stopped by to ask if we needed refills on our drinks and had them refilled as did another waitress!! About an hour and 20 minutes into our wait, she goes to find out where our meal is, comes back and says, ""Its still not ready, it might be another 15 minutes. Do want some crackers?"" Mind you, during this time two tables were seated (well after we were) and had appetizers and the waitresses were in and out, every few minutes. So, we wait another 15 mins, she comes back and said, ""Its still not ready. What do you want to do?"". I told her we were leaving and she said not to worry about the drinks and salad (we did get that). I have never in my life left a restaurant without eating!!!!! We were never told that it might be a long time before we were served our food, for that to happen would mean our waitress would have to make an appearance! I might have tolerated the long wait had we been told in advance, had the waitress been attentive and present, and her attitude not so casual. It almost seemed if she was dragged off the street and asked if she could help serve, not that she worked there!! Unbelievable! \r As a side note, not all the waitresses are like this, some are very good, the food decent and the atmosphere very cool. But I'm not taking a chance again. more

AMAZING 3/2/2012

I was also there on Saturday, and Friday, and Thursday!!!!!!! YES it was crowded Saturday and yes the service was slow and getting your food took a bit. But this is not the NORM for them. I also had first timers with me that night and when their food arrived they were so impressed they said they would most definately return. Everything I have had from their menu and been off the carts amazing!!! I love the staff, the food and the atmosphere. more

The best in town! 2/27/2012

You people must have nothing better to do than to sit around and complain about petty stuff. I was also here Saturday night and was told from the beginning there was a 20 min wait to be sat then possibly an hour to get our food. News flash, that's what happens you want to eat at a busy restaurant on a sat night! Almost anywhere you go will be like that. I too had crawfish, and they were fantastic. The lady who complained about all the food needs to stay at home cuz you're obviously insane with no sense of taste. All the food is wonderful and i will definitely be back! I have been to new Orleans as well and I can tell you it is like actually being there when you're at the voodoo more

TERRIBLE SERVICE 2/26/2012

If you are considering patronizing this establishment I strongly suggest you reconsider your dining options. The service is horrible and it honestly seemed as thought the employees don't care at all. I had reservations, showed up on time with out of town guests and stood inside the front door for 15 mins with no acknowledgement from any of the staff. They do have a nice menu and I've never had a bad meal here but the service is very slow and the staff likes to blame everyone but themselves. Try Ford's Oyster House and Cajun Kitchen in Downtown Greenville instead. They immediately greet the patron and constantly update you if there is a wait. the servers are friendly and really take care of you. Bleu Voodoo Grill treats you as an interruption of their work. Save your hard earned money folks and spend it at Ford's. more

Bad Service and Awful food 2/25/2012

The review that said it's the best cajun food they've ever had as very obviously never been out of Easley to have cajun food. We ordered fried crawfish and they brought alligator by that time I assumed our food was getting ready to come out so I just cancelled that. My husband ordered a cup of gumbo that tasted like canned vegetable soup with sausage and rice added to it. We both ordered crawfish etouffee which was just awful. It was water, bland and the crawfish were obviously frozen for a very long time and over cooked. Don't eat here if you genuinely like real cajun food because you will be highly disappointed. Nice decor though. more

Nice decor, horrible food and service 4/1/2011

They burned one side of my steak, which was ordered medium, and it tasted like a lump of coal. No one came to check how we liked our food or to refill our beverages. If you come to this place, just have a beer and look at the art. Eat somewhere else. more

Cajun at it's Best! 11/16/2010

Recently opened, in downtown Easley is one of the best restaurants around. If you like to try something a little different you must check it out.\r \r Cajun at it's best! Bleu Voodoo, the staff, the cooks, the atmosphere, something new and delightful in Easley. They have gator bites, some of the best I've ever had. Crawfish egg roll... who knew they could be so good. You have to check out the pepper jelly, AWESOME! \r \r They're only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but it's worth the trip. Be sure and go upstairs, check out all the art work... it's incredible!\r \r Hope to see ya there... :)\r \r ST & BT more
