Four of us went to dinner at the Bleu Spoon last night for my husband's birthday and I have to say, it was fabulous. None of us had been there before so we didn't know what to expect but all left pleasantly surprised and unable to shove anymore food into our mouths.\r

It wasn't too busy when we arrived at 6:30pm. We were promptly seated at a nice table in the back near the water fountains. The dining room was clean and nicely furnished. Our bus boy came right away with water and a basket of hot garlic focaccia for us to nibble on while we intensely studied the menu. \r

The menu had a delightful array of items. In addition to dinner salads (like the Cha Cha chicken), they had a lot of wonderful entrees to choose from. I had the Monterey Chicken which was delicious. It was a big chicken breast smothered with fresh tomatoes, avocado, and bay shrimp with a lemon butter sauce. It came with smashed potatoes and veggies. The others opted for the fish and chips and it did not disappoint. In addition to 5 huge pieces of fish, it also came with a generous portion of fries and a cup of coleslaw. And all entrees come with a choice of soup or salad. Other entrees that caught my eye were the cranberry tortellini, mommas meatloaf, mumbo gumbo, and the crab cakes. \r

The average price was about 14.95 which is a steal given the HUGE portions. And on Mondays, they have a special where you can get a bacon burger and a beer for $7.50!\r

The restaurant is conveniently located right off State Park Drive in Aptos close to Seacliff Beach. \r
