Laura Costin is my stylist at Blades and she is wonderful. I would trust no one else to cut and color my hair. Her ability to intuitively know what looks good on you is truly a talent and a gift. Laura always gets it right, not only making you look great, but feel terrific as well! more

Elaina Metcalf is wonderful with my kids! She has been cutting my son's hair since he was 6 months old and she has always done an excellent job! Now she cuts my daughters hair too. They both have really curly hair and they always look really cute when she is finished with them. She has also done mine over the years and I have been really happy every time with the results! more

Wendy Albrecht salvaged a bad week for me. I needed color correction badly and her expert assessment for color and damage control got me so many complements. My daughter said the color was so much better it took 20 crazy years off of my look. Having the color cut and styling with Wendy has been the best thing that's happened to me in a while. I will certainly be a lifelong patron. more

Wendy is absolutely the Best!! I have been coloring my hair for over 15 years - I had a bad color outcome from a former stylist and Wendy got me in the same day and did an awesome color correction !! Her ability to match my skin tone with the correct shade was amazing!! I am so Happy with the results... and have gotten many compliments the first day! :) more

Horrible first (and last) visit. Stylist, Felicia Emmons, tells me she is running and hour behind because the lady before me had a gift certificate and they are doing much more than what they thought in the beginning. She told me I was welcome to wait or 'did I have some shopping to do and could come back in an hour?'. I told her ""No, I don't have shopping to do and I have a baby sitter for this time"" (which I also told her when making the appointment). As she is backing away towards her current client she said ""just let me know what you want to do"". My answer was to walk out the door but I think she was too dense to get the message. more

Wendy is amazing. I came in, desperately seeking someone on such a short notice to fix my hair- since I had already been to another hair dresser who destroyed the ombre look I was going for. Wendy fixed it up exceeding my expectations! Especially considering I had just had my hair colored two days prior, I was a little nervous about putting more color back on. I'm so happy with the way my new color and ombre style turned out! Wendy is definitely the best stylist I have ever been to, and she is also the best with color I've ever had as well- and I've been coloring my hair for over 10 years! I'll definitely be a returning customer:) more

Just have to say that Christina Vierling is by far the BEST master stylist/colorist I ever known. I absolutely will not let anyone touch my hair but her. I even fly up 1000 miles away to get to her. What does that tell you. Way to go Christina. Keep up the awesomness! more

Amanda is the greatest! I have been going to her for a little over a year and not only does she do the best cut and color but she always blows it out with a round brush so my hair looks amazing when I walk out the door. Today she put in red highlights for a summer look and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Also the salon is so cute and inviting I always feel at home :) more

My favorite stylist is Wendy..she does an awesome job, knows what color will look right with skin tone..takes a lot of time with her customers to get that perfect look...She will go that extra mile to make sure her customers look the way they want....Great ideas, great color, great cuts!! I too would be so lost without her!! more

I would recommend my long time friend and ""Hair Goddess"", Wendy Albrecht, to anyone that asks me for a stylist recommendation. She has been covering my gray (shhhh!) for years and does an excellent job! She is flexible and works around my busy schedule to fit me in when I was not organized enough to schedule ahead of time. I'd be lost (and gray) without her!! :-) more

Great Haircut 1/16/2012

Just want to brag on my stylist, Laura Costin. The first time she cut my hair I ran into her boss about a week later. Her boss took one look at me and said, ""Wow, your hair looks great. Where'd you get it done."" I laughed and said, ""Your place, Blades. Laura Costin did a great job."" Went in for my second haircut with Laura right after Christmas. Last Friday I had dinner with my family. My brother, who never notices anything personal, said, ""You know, your hair looks really nice."" Thanks, Laura. And thanks, Blades. You guys rock!! more

Love!!! Hair cut, color, and Rhonda are three things that I just love about Blades Hair Design. I've gone to Rhonda for over 15 years and she is a knowledgeable hair stylist that is very personable. She listens to what I want and suggests new things to me with a friendly and comfortable attitude. I've really enjoyed going to her over the years at Blades and don't know what I would do without her. So if you are looking for a stylist that can do what you ask for or even something new and innovative then pick Rhonda Danks because she excels in both. more

I was looking for a sophisticated and stylish up-do for a formal event and Laura styled my hair perfectly for the occasion. Most importantly my hair stayed in place all night without having a head full of bobby pins. Laura used Aquage Hairspray (which I love!) and everything stayed in place perfectly..even after hitting the dance floor pretty hard!! Laura really listens to what you want, but if you are open to suggestions too, she's had many years of experience and is very good at bringing out the best style for you. I've been going to her for years and her haircuts, color, and styles are the best. You can trust that she will give you a new look that you will love! more

I decided to get a bikini wax but did not know of any locations that did bikini waxing. One day, I was driving on Bash Street and saw Blades Hair Design Studio so I decided to check it out. I made an appointment with Angela (she does the waxing and other services). When I went in for my appointment, her work area was very clean and organized. Angela was very friendly and she made me feel comfortable. She explained what she was going to do and notified me that she has many years of experience. The end results were GREAT! She really knows her trade well. I have my next appointment scheduled and I highly recommend her. more

It has been almost two years since my first visit to Amanda and I have never been happier with my hair(and I am very picky). Having tried many stylists over the past fifteen years, I have had some bad experiences.Dried out hair,dull , brassy color,or too blond.Since Amanda has been taking care of my hair I get compliments all the time.Total strangers ask where I have my hair done. People never believe that I'm not a natural blond. My hair is shiny and healthy. Amanda takes her time ,she listens, and makes me feel as if I am her only client. I hope I never have to find someone else because it would be hard to top her. Amanda is a real pro. I Love her!!! more
