Blackfish Cafe

My lady & I had dinner reservations @ Blackfish on 3.15.08 for 8:30pm. We were seated shortly after arriving at that time. A small table tucked into an alcove on the front side of the establishment. One of the specials was Alaskan king salmon - which I opted for. It was sublime! Cooked to perfection & about a pound of meat. Served over wild rice & cooked spinach. It was topped with a roasted red pepper sauce that complimented it well. The salad dressing was a vinaigrette that made the mixed greens sing. My girl got a bay shrimp pasta dish that was quite tasty. Our drinks were mixed very well. The wine by the glass selection was minimal, but just what was needed. Desert? WOW! Home made ding dongs that were the size of coffee cans! & there were 2 of them?! incredible. more

We came to Lincoln City on a bit of a romantic getaway. We checked around and saw the Blackfish Cafe nearby. The greeter said we would have a 30 minute wait without reservations, but we had a drink and were seated within 15 minutes tops. The menu looked great, and I ordered the steak, which I haven't eaten in many years. It was Fantastic. My lady ordered the Scallops which she said was also really good. I would suggest this place to anyone stopping in Lincoln City. Its nice and small, so you aren't packed in with too many people, and the food gets out really quickly. Pros: Food,Service more

I am a Culinary School grad and aspiring Chef. Blackfish Cafe is the standard that I hope to achieve. The food is always perfectly cooked with attention to the smallest detail. The service is consistently awesome. This is the best restaurant time and time again. Thank you Chef Rob for showing us the way. Pros: Low pirce for top notch cusine. Cons: View of HWY 101. more

My husband and I stayed at Lincoln City over the weekend and made plans to have a romantic dinner at the Blackfish Cafe. I checked the website ahead of time to get their hours which said that they closed at 10pm on Saturdays. So totally smashing in heels and a vintage-style dress, we headed out to what we expected to be some fabulous seafood. We arrived at 9:30pm and they were closed! By the time we found some other places to eat, they were closed as well. We ended up going to Safeway and bought shrimp cocktails, salad, bread and strawberries. So I guess we saved a lot of money and ended up with some great food. But not at Blackfish Cafe- I guess they are too fancy to update their website or bother to stay open. more
