This is the best birthday gift that I've ever received, having said that... wifes and girlfriends, take note! The airplane is extremely well taken care of, properly maintained, stored in a hanger, and flown and owned by enthusiasts! Brian, the owner, is amazingly polite, knowledgeable, and anyone will notice that he's passionate about this beautiful Waco YMF-5 biplane! Our pilot was James who makes the plane handle like button and kept up consistently at 500ft of altitude while flying besides the Palos Verdes Coast line. We also did some very tight circles around an old sailing boat in Long Beach with a quick glance at the Queen Mary and the rest of LB. Then at FL1.5 all the way to the Hollywood sign and West La touring... I've lived in LA for 12 years and driven considerably in all of LA from the mountains to the beaches and wow, the view is quite eye-opening from the air. It's also quite strange and amusing to have 737s and 747s fly above us as they approach LAX... many waves from bystanders, too! James performed a 5 star landing from turning nearly 180 degrees just 3000ft away from the beginning of the runaway and perfectly touched down after the piano keys. This was the smoothest landing that I've ever experience (yes, i'm comparing 777 flights too!). I'd highly recommend this breath-taking experience and friendly staff! Brian...Our flight with you last week was just phenomenal, and I fully expect I'll be back to do it again.Certainly, being able to sit together up front was a big bonus , particularily for Margret,who gamely , but with trepidation , comes along on most of my adventures.By the time we were zooming past the Hollywood sign, Margret was enjoying the ride immensely.\r An even bigger thrill was circling over our son's home in Topanga where our grandchildren were out waving, and then flying past Gladstone's at the seashore , where we had stopped for lunch.\r We have taken a number of adventure flights, and could see that you bring a high degree of professionalism to your work, and the briefing , as well as the commentary during the flight, was both reassuring , and informative.\r We wish you continued success with your spectacular Waco, and hope we'll have the chance to fly with you again.\r \r Soft landings.....M&M Miller more

What a fantastic experience! We've been wanting to do an air tour in Los Angeles for some time, but until now there wasn't anyone operating in a convenient location. Suddenly we found Black & White Biplane, and it's right here on the West Side. What a GREAT ride! Our pilot, Brian, is a total pro. He knows the airplane intimately and flies it beautifully. We took the hour-long flight and it was just amazing! The airplane is so spectacular, I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for the ultimate air tour experience. Everything was perfect. They're not kidding when they say it's like flying in an airborne Rolls. VIP treatment all the way, and we'll never forget the flight. One of the greatest things i have done. Swooping over the ocean and along the beach such an incredible feeling to be in an open cockpit and seeing and feeling more of what its like to fly!. Brian is a great pilot and the BI-Plane is absolutley beautiful! Such a great thrill! It is a must for a great gift to youserlf and others and what a surprise date it would be! My pre teen kids were looking for something different to do, and we saw this listing for bi-plane rides. This was about as 'different' as you can get! At first they asked ""What's a biplane?"", but when they saw this machine they were like ""OMG! We're going to FLY in that? With our heads OUTSIDE??!!!"" Well, I'm telling you, when they got back on the ground I thought their faces were going to break from smiling so much. This is a fun adventure that few kids ever get to experience. The plane is absolutely beautiful and pristine and the pilot was a total pro. He was great with the children, too. He showed them how the plane works and explained all the controls. They got to sit side-by-side, and each had a great view. I would TOTALLY recommend this for kids or adults. It's like a science, sightseeing and fun lesson all-in-one. I've lived in Ft Lauderdale a long time. Sun,Surf, Boating,Golf,everything you could ask for and now a friend turned me on to a beautiful open cockpit biplane ride at Pompano airport. What an experience! A real trip. My wife and I went up at sunset and it was extraordinary-GREAT GREAT GREAT! The pilot-operator was charming, and really knew what he was doing. The whole thing was a class act from start to finish. more

My boyfriend didn't tell me what we were going to do, and when we went to the airport and saw the sparkling biplane I couldn't believe it. Really, what a ROMANTIC date. We sat next to each other and had the most thrilling ride. It was so beautiful over the beach. The airplane was like an aerial Rolls-Royce. Afterwards, when we went to dinner, it was all we could talk about. It was amazing - I felt like I was in a movie. Thanks, Black & White Biplane. This memory will last forever. Pros: Thrilling, romantic, great sightseeing, unique, thoughtful, intimate Cons: None - everything was perfect. Seems expensive, but worth every penny, because I'll never forget it. more
