The place seems to pick up around 5:00 and seems to have a lively atmosphere. I found the service to be prompt and friendly, not sure if they were knowledgable about their brews. Their menu is German focused but does have a good amount of American selections. During two visits we had tried the pork shank, plowsman platter, Octoberfest Feast, soft prezel with beer cheese and the bacon wrapped scallops. All were very good. Their braised pork shank and smoked pork chop were very very good, highly recommened. The portion size is fairly large so you don't need to order an appetizer. I found their prices to be reasonable. They have a limited selection of their in house brews, around 5 or 6. I sampled their Octoberfest, Schwarzbier, and Hefe. All quite good, the Schwarzbier was excellent. They do have growlers to go, which you can purchase at the front of the restuarant. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy German food.
