Bistro Romano is a great place to eat whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a family dinner. The food is delicious and the restaurant is very cozy.

My husband and I and on occassions, our adult children have been customers for several years and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and we always enjoy a good meal. more

Competent staff and great specific highlights 9/2/2012

Arriving half an hour early for dinner, my date and I were seated immediately. We were serviced by a competent, courteous, and attractive staff. All dishes were well sized and served promptly. Specific highlights include the table side salad bar. Over all, a fantastic experience. more

A boon to Philadelphia 7/29/2012

The atmosphere, service, and food was absolutely wonderful. I was visiting Philadelphia and after a day of busy touring, I was delighted to be taken to Bistro Romano. Service was efficient, but not hurried. I especially enjoyed the chicken puttanesca entree. Would definitely return and look forward to doing that! more

Knowledgeable waiter 7/22/2012

The waiter was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He described specialities in great detail. The table side Caesar salad as always was phenomenal. The new menu items were delightful, especially the braciole. more

Historic Society Hill Restaurant is FANTASTIC!! 4/15/2006

The lower level wine cellar eating area is so warm and inviting, yet is classy and sophisticated at the same time. The food is prepared expertly and the table side Caesar salad presentation is entertaining with a most delicious result. This is a great place for an anniversary or other very special meal. Try the Salmon Granato for a different and delicious treat! more

Italian restaurant winner in Old City 8/30/2005

Bistro Romano is a wonderful restaurant located in an old granary. The bar and event room are on the main and upper floors while dinner is served downstairs in the cozy wine cellar. For extra privacy, ask for the table for two in the wine vault. Italian classics are perfectly prepared. My favorite is the seafood linguine in white wine broth. They are well known for their caesar salads, prepared tableside. Not to be missed. A wonderful date or special occasion spot. more
