John Mace gave us an excellent bid on restoring the hardwood in one of our bedrooms. He also had clear and solid advice on color. In this case, he advised me to keep the natural color (no stain), and I'm so glad I did. Birdseye will remove and replace the baseboard. The other two companies I had bid the job did not indicate that they would do this. Ryan did the work on our floor, and he was great--very congenial, polite, kept the area clean while working and cleaned up carefully at the end of the job. Somehow some putty ended up on one of my newly painted walls, but John gave me a small break on price. I was able to repair it fairly easily, and I was satisfied. John Mace gave me the best, most reasonable quote, was the most thorough in his recommendations for my floor - but not pushy at all - and did a fabulous job! I highly recommend him if you are bidding out a job. He is truly a wonderful, skilled expert in his labours and generally a good guy to be around.
