Great place to board your pets! Really gave us peace of mind that our dogs were being taken care of down to every last detail. We had to board at Birchwood because our usual kennel was full for the Labor Day weekend and we didn't realize just what we were missing in a kennel until we boarded here. Dave and his staff, Ashley and Jessica were very kind and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to take care of our three dogs. We were a little hesitant to pay a little more but it was worth every penny knowing that our pets were safe and being cared for extensively. We checked in a couple of times on our trip and was always answered promptly and in a professional manner. Top notch! We will board here again. more

Love this place ! We had a horrible experience at another local kennel last year. Birchwood Kennels was so good to us and our Leon ! They sent us photos daily of Leon to let us know that he was doing good! Dave, Ashley,Brandon,Kyle and the rest of the employees at Birchwood Kennels went above and beyond to give us and Leon a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this Kennel to anyone that needs a wonderful Daycare and Kennel for their fur babies! more

Vet recommended wonderful bunny boarders 10/24/2013

A while back both my fiancee and I had to be out of town and needed somewhere to board our two rabbits. Our vet recommended Birchwood, and they are wonderful. Rabbits are very skiddish animals in new places, and the people there are very friendly and good to them. They make sure they are comfortable and safe while we are away, and they are just generally good people to deal with. \r \r They even got the bunny seal of approval last time they stayed with them. Rabbits will not just "lop out" for anyone. They have to feel completely secure and safe to do so. And Pax did. So, that says it all. I highly recommend them for other house bunny owners. more

We love Birchwood Kennels!! Dave and all the staff take such great care of our dog you is notoriously unpredictable and temperamental. They provide a wonderful enviroment for our pet and he gets individualized attention every day when he boards there. I cannot possibly say enough good things about the staff and the facility.\r The grooming services are affordable and they do a great job with a dog that can be a little hard to handle. I am so thankful that I found the great kennel where I know my dog will be safe and well taken care of when he stays with them. more

I just dropped my dog off at Birchwood Kennels for a week at ""camp"" while we vacation. Because she has been there several times in the past, I know that she will receive the best of care there. The staff is very kind and caring, giving the dogs in their care attention and love. What I really like is that they not only take good care of my dog, but they give me a report when I pick her up. For some of us, our pets are like our children, and I want to make sure they are cared for like family. I know that will happen when my dog goes to Camp Birchwood. I highly recommend Birchwood to anyone seeking quality pet care. more

I found this kennel and grooming facility by Devine intervention. My two little dogs ran from my yard and were on a busy road. Luckily a lady picked them up and called around to vets and groomers. David at Birchwood had helped me and my fiancé look for my dogs all evening. When he got the call the next morning from the lady with my dogs, he immediately stopped what he was doing and went to her house to pick up my dogs. He called us and we had them back before the morning was over. Anyone who makes it their problem to reunite dog and owner is a friend of mine. We are now clients and know my little fur babies are in great hands. Thank you Birchwood for helping find my dogs. See you soon! more

What an absolutely WONDERFUL place to board your dogs!!! We had such a great experience with this business. Our dogs stayed for over a week with Robb and his staff and we could not have been more pleased with the care they received! They were alert, happy and energetic when we picked them up. We got a detailed report of how well they ate, slept, and behaved when we picked them up. This kennel also has Sunday pick-up hours -which made it wonderful for us in that we did not have to arrange for a short day at work on our first day back so that we could pick them up during what most places would refer to as ""normal"" business hours. Great pricing and EXCELLENT customer service. We will always HIGHLY recommend this place!!!! more

Wonderful place to board your dogs. We take our two dogs (schnauzer and a cocker spaniel) and let them share a run at Birchwood. They are always happy, healthy, and unstressed when we pick them up. The staff really seems to care about the dogs as if they are their own. We definitely recommend Birchwood! more

I have boarded with Birchwood Kennels for 25yrs. There is know way I can say enough good about Birchwood. The facilty is exstremly clean,all pets get great care and love. They have veternarians on call, there is someone on the property 24hrs. a day and 7 days a week. What more can anyone want for there pets? I have told Rob and David both, that when they have my babies, if they were to get ill, they have my permission to make all medical decisions in my behalf, and know one loves there babies more than I do. This is how much trust I have in Rob, David and the staff . Everyone's pet is #1 at Birchwood Kennels. If you truly love your pets, you need to visit Birchwood and see Rob,David and all the staff.\r \r Thank you for caring for your pets and wanting them to be loved while you are away.\r \r Karen L. What a great place to board your dog(s)! An excellent staff - so friendly and organized and checking in and out is not a problem. The entire facility is so clean that there is no kennel odor. We made an appointment for grooming and it was a spa weekend for the dogs - they smelled great when we picked them up. Highly recommended! more

We never had to board a pet before, so I was uneasy about leaving our Shih Tzu with just anyone. However, after a recommendation from a friend, we contacted Birchwood. I talked with Dave for some time on the phone. He recommended coming by for a visit and that sold us. Our baby has stayed there three times now. It means a lot when our little dog willingly goes to Dave and gives him kisses after not having seen him for a while. I highly recommended Birchwood whether you need a groomer, doggie daycamp, or a place to board your pet, cat or dog. more

I have never boarded my dog before and was real nervous and scared to leave him, until I saw the facility. It is clean, friendly and I felt comfortable leaving my dog with them. They play music and do what ever necessary to make the animals comfortable and happy!! more

I was certainly impressed with Birchwood Kennels. Not being from around here, I was desperately looking for a good quality kennel to board my two dogs with. After talking to David for about 30 minutes on the phone and asking him numerous questions, I made the trip down there for a visit. It was a clean, well-managed kennel with a wonderful staff. David spent over an hour showing me the facilty, answering my many questions and relieving any fears that I might have about boarding my dogs there in the future. So, when we did leave our dogs with them, I think I suffered more seperation anxiety about leaving them than my dogs did about being left there. HA! However, to help ease our minds, we were encouraged to call during our vacation to check up on them. Furthermore, when I went to pick them up ten days later, they looked well-rested, non-stressed and in wonderful condition. We will not hesitate to leave our dogs in their most capable hands for our next trip. Great job!!!! more

My dogs are part of the family and as much as I wish I could take them everywhere with me, I can't. This being said, I took this boarding situation very seriously.
