The Biltmore Estate is America's Versailles ... only it is surrounded by 90,000 acres given to North Carolina from the Vanderbilt holdings. If you want something unique .. take the architectural tour to get on the roof of the giant mansion. You will be pleased. more

Don't miss 11/17/2007

Prior to visiting, I never thought I'd say any house was worth a $45 admission, but this one definitely is. I wish I'd had more than a couple of hours to visit. I highly recommend. Pros: Nothing else compares Cons: Plan on at least a couple of hours for the tour more
