The Biltmore house is the biggest house in the United States. Its an all day affair so bring your walking shoes because there is much to see.
You get a tour through the entire house itself which takes hour. They give you the history of the place and guide you to each and every room. There are a lot of them. From the first indoor pool to the kitchen to the fancy bedrooms , maid quarters and horse stables. It sits on miles and miles of land so from some areas of the estate you can see and take in the wonderful landscaping. They also have a huge nursery garden & horse stables. They make things in the barn like brooms, iron and they basically show you the way they made things in the early days. They do have some live country entertainment. Souvenir shops. You can walk all over the grounds. They do have a concession stand if you get thirsty. And you will be. That was a lot of walking but well worth it. The admission was pretty expensive. Still escalating. There are places you can stay on the Biltmore Estate. I stayed in Waynesville, which was around 45 minutes away.
There are other things to do and see there. I think they even have horseback riding. The place is really unbelievable. A place that takes you back to another time and era.
