Great Salsa Goes Great with A Great Breakfast In A Deli In Glendale, Go Figure? 1/10/2008

I have been eating at Billys Deli for about 5 years. Billys has one of the best breakfast in town. A good place to take the whole family. The coupons I get in the mail give me more value for my buck. If you press them the'll bring out there private stash of fresh Mexican Salsa. The salsa goes great with breakfast! Thanks Billys. Keep up the great food. more

Best Deli in Glendale 11/23/2007

I've been visiting Billy's since high school...more years than I really want to contemplate. I have to say, I've never really tried anything else other than the NY deli items: corned beef on rye, knishes, chicken kreplach soup. These are basic standard fare for me at any NY/Jewish-style deli. Granted, Billy's is no Junior's or Canter's...but when you leave in the eastern Valley's of LA...you take what you can get. I have never been disappointed with food with Billy's. The staff here is always friendly and courteous. more

Delicious and very filling sandwiches 7/17/2007

The first time I had lunch, I was amazed! I went in with a friend who mentioned that Billy's is his must-go-to restaurant whenever he is in Glendale. He introduced the restaurant to me as an classic sandwich eatery that was featured on the travel channel. I ordered the tuna sandwich and I must say the bread was perfect to complete a very filling meal. You are able to choose a side with your sandwich, i ordered a side a fruit. They also give you sliced pickles as a little appetizer to start off the meal. The portion size is pretty big for a sandwich for a great low price. I believe i paid maybe $12?? for my whole meal plus gratuity. The service is great and friendly. They are really good at anticipating customer needs and the food comes out real quick. If you are around the area, I recommend you go! Parking is free if you validate your parking stub at the restaurant! Pros: food, service, parking, price more

As Good As It Gets 2/22/2007

This is a terrific old style Jewish Deli....for California. It can more than hold it's own against Canter's, Factors, etc. Of course the very best Jewish Delis are in NY , but for California this cozy little place shouldn't be ignored. Great for breakfast too! Pros: the old world deli smell when you walk in more

Best deli in the area.... 10/6/2006

We just moved our offices to Glendale from Pasadena, and I was a little worried about where I was going to have my standards - sandwiches for lunch and eggs for breakfast. I needn't have worried - we stumbled across Billy's, just a few blocks away. Amazing sandwiches, very good and (cheap!) breakfasts. And the staff is very friendly. Pros: Cheap, delicious deli food Cons: Hard to find more

Out of this world pickles 8/18/2006

Alright, I know it's weird to review the pickles, but they were really amazing. They are a special recipie which they get shipped into the restaurant. The atmosphere is 50's kitchen. The waitress is blunt yet friendly. She spouts out jokes and recommends dishes. They were prompt on refills but slow on the bill. Pros: Friendly staff, food more

A piece of old Glendale that is destined to close 6/13/2005

An oasis of joyland in the middle of goyland 4/28/2005

Go find a corned beef sandwich or chicken in a pot like this anywhere within twenty miles. Go ahead! Try! You won't find them...and you'll wish you stayed in Glendale. I tell you this because you might be new to Glendale and not know it's here....(It's not on ""the Blvd""..but near by) and have to travel to (ugh) Studio City or Encino to get lesser fare. Enjoy! Pros: good food, delivery Cons: closes 8pm more

Really, Really Good Deli Food 3/10/2005

Billy's is within walking distance of the Glendale Centre Theatre and that's how we stumbled across it. What a find! Decor is old-fashioned and the chic would overlook it, but it's a great place to eat. Sandwiches are piled high with more lean meat than you can possibly eat. Pickles are delicious. It was a really satisfying meal and I will definitely be back. It's fun to walk around and check out the pictures; it's a blast to the past. It's always a treat to find a good restaurant that's not part of today's chains. Pros: Great Deli Food, Good Value Cons: Outdated Decor more

Best Corned Beef Sandwhich! 4/28/2003

Trust me! Get the Corned Beef sandwhich on rye bread. Yeah it costs $7 bucks for a full one, but this is the leanest and BEST tasting corned beef you will ever eat!. The Matzo Ball soup is to die for and the BEST remedy for a cold. Pros: Best Corned Beef, Matzo Ball Soup, Great deli Cons: Outdated decor, Pricey but worth it more
