Big Tex Mobile Detailing

Purchased voucher from Half Off Depot and Big Tex refuses to honor the voucher. They offered to do the job if I paid AGAIN the same amount I paid for the voucher. They stated they were not getting paid from Half Off Depot, yet the vouchers are still being sold 2 months later. Unprofessional attitude when I called. Sounded very angry that I even called. Half Off Depot said they are looking into problem but my voucher will soon expire. I am not sure I would like someone working on my car who was so ANGRY about the issue of using the vouchers. more

Big Tex is a BIG SCAM…….will not honor Half Off Depot voucher. Also HAlf Off Depot will not stand behind the sale. SSSCCAAAMMMMMMM more

What a terrible experience. What was advertised as a $250 mobile detail, was nothing more than a wash with spray wax (a joke) and an interior vacuum and armor all. Autobell does this for $20. \r \r I also had a difficult time scheduling service and then the morons cleaning could not find my house and I had to go and meet them for the service. \r \r All in all, a terrible experience, anyone ripping people off this badly should be charged with theft. more

I want to echo the previous two reviewers. I purchased a LivingSocial deal for car detailing with this company. After leaving multiple messages to set up service (and never hearing back--to the point I forgot about it after a while--who has time to call multiple MULTIPLE times for an appointment?) I finally realized that my voucher would expire in a couple of months. I called yet once again, and FINALLY was called back. An appointment was made for 6 weeks in advance, at which point my voucher would have expired. I was assured that my voucher would be honored. About an hour before my appointment, the detailer called to cancel the appointment. He claimed he would call me to reschedule. He called me the next day to say he was five minutes from my house (I was nowhere near home at that time--and he had agreed the previous day to call me with a heads up an hour or so before he thought he could get to me and I would meet him). NEVER heard back from him after that. Called yet AGAIN for another appointment, and asked for a different person to provide the service. An appointment was made yet another 6 weeks in advance, but I was ""penciled in"" due to a cancellation. The detailer showed up almost an hour late, and could not POSSIBLY have been any more rude, ill mannered or inappropriate. He proceeded to do a horrible job on my car--a 5 year old could've cleaned it better. My car has a bubbly wax film all over it now--it looks terrible. I tried to call and convey what happened (there is only one number to be found for this business,) to a manager or someone who might do something to help out, but the dispatcher woman yelled at me that I ""ABUSED"" the LivingSocial deal because it had expired, and they were just being ""NICE"" to honor the voucher. HUH WHAT?????? I have since attempted in vain to contact the owner. No one will return my call or my email. What a horrible waste of time, aggravation and money. PLUS my car now looks like it has glue all over it. It's really unbelievable that these people are in business, and ripping people off via Groupon and Livingsocial. Please take my advice and STAY AWAY from this company. Group discount sites should ban them. more

ZERO stars should be an option! Here's my experience: Called on a Thursday to schedule an appointment. They returned my call two days later on Saturday. Appointment was scheduled for the next Thursday at 8 am. Since this was a school and work day, I asked the dispatcher if she could be certain the detailers would arrive on time (she said the cleaning would take about two hours). She rudely said ""Yes, of course, they will be on time"". Well, not even close. They never showed up, never called, and to date, have not responded to any of my calls. Living Social just refunded my purchase. Today, I see that Living Social is again offering Big Tex Mobile Detailing as one of their current deals. I hope any folks thinking about taking the deal will skip it! Not worth the time and trouble and there are many other area detailers who would be grateful to get your business. more

I took advantage of the Living Social Deal $75 for the full service interior and exterior detailing. I left my vehicle at my parents place as I dont have an electrical outlet at my apt. After the worker arrived an hour late I was told he was about as friendly as the Grinch (before his heart grew 10 sizes). When I arrived 1 day later to pick up my vehicle I was stupefied at the horrible job that was done. I am not sure what sort of products they use, but the wax looked like it had been put on and not buffed out. All of my windows are extremely foggy, to the point I cant see out of them. I called to complain about the job and I was told the worker would be contacting me. He did contact me that afternoon and told me he would be out within an hour. Well 4 hour later I followed up and asked where he was, he said he would be back tomorrow. Big surprise when he was again a no show the following day. It is a horrible feeling to spend $75 on something and then have to waste an entire weekend day cleaning up after the job they did. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of joker at Big Tex Mobile detailing. more

Unfortunately I am unable to rate this company on it's quality of work. I can only review the fact that they don't show up fir scheduled appointments and refuse to return phone calls. Not sure how they stay in business ignoring their customers. more

Big Tex Mobile Detailing's service is excellent. Rick is flexible and he does a good job. He reviews the work very well for me. I knew Rick from another business so it was very easy for me to utilize his service. It is good quality work that is very easy and flexible. It is nice to have them come to me so that I can have that flexibility. more

Big Tex Mobile Detailing is awesome. I know Rick, and I have had him out twice so far. He doesn't leave until I'm happy. He did a very good job, and I am going to have them do my husband's car next. They are very accommodating and extremely nice. Rick comes to my house, pulls the car out to clean it, and puts it back for me. It is worth the price. I've got 3 kids, and we take a lot of trips for competitions, so my car was gross. It looks good now. He power washed the rugs and cleaned the entire inside as well. The rugs really look like new. I know that Big Tex Mobile Detailing offers a maintenance program for every two weeks, and I might take advantage of it. Caroline Waterman more
