So they were 25 minutes late to my reception venue because they were lost (good planning). I suppose they don't come to the East Side too often.... Anyways, this made the set up late, which made the cocktail hour start 15 minutes late, and the guests had to stand outside until everything was set up. We paid for a ""cheese medley passed"" which apparently consisted of some cheddar cheese squares that look like they came from Sam's Club on a plate where no one even could see them. And they cost us over 200 dollars! The cupcake tower we ordered (and had a picture of) was TERRIBLE looking- they were lopsided, tiny, and looked nothing like the picture that they emphatically insisted they could recreate with no problem. There are too many other things to list here, but all in all, I would NEVER recommend A Big Show to anyone. Definitely overpriced, and worst of all, the owner and caterer on duty lied about being late and tried to blame everything on the wedding planner.
Could someone please respond and tell me if a ""plating fee"" for the wedding party is standard practice, because my party had to serve themselves (so embarrassing) and I was told that we would have had to pay a fee per plate in order for them to have been formally served. ABSURD.
