I had a very disappointing experience at Big O on Friday. I have a '72 Super Beetle, which is very hard to find tires for. To make a long story short, I found a good price on eBay and took my car and tires in. It was a little busy, but that was to be expected. They said that the car would be ready in a few hours, so my husband and I went home to wait. Pros: My tires were installed. Cons: See Review... more

Where I go for all my auto needs 1/9/2006

I LOVE BIG O tires on Park Street in Alameda! I have been going there for the past six years or so. Gary and Brian are the best. And whenever I need auto service that they do not provide I call them to get referrals. In six years I have never been steered wrong by them. They really go the extra mile on service and the work is always quality and completed in a timely manner. Thanks Gary and Brian, your Big O shop ROCKS! Oh the BIG O! 7/6/2005

Where to start?! I've been going to these guys for the past four or five years. Being a woman, it can sometimes be intimidating walking into a car shop to get help on something you aren't too sure about. Gary, Rogerio, and the guys are straight forward, helpful, and honest with you. AND...they explain what the problem is in simple English! Highly recommend checking them out! Old Fashioned Service 6/6/2005

If you need tire related service and goods, ignore everyone else and go here. Gary the manager and the staff there are hard working, knowledgeable, extremely pleasent, and incredibly efficient. I had a bad valve in my tire and got there early on a Monday morning. The place was buzzing and Gary was multi tasking like crazy. In a minute or two, he had be back in, checked the valve, replaced it's core, had all my tires filled with air by a staffer and another even noticed my hubcap was skewed and pried it off and hammered it back on - all in less than 5 minutes total. NO CHARGE and lots of smiles. And I didn't even buy the tires there! But if I need new ones I know I'll go there. You should too. Pros: everything! Cons: none more
