Don't bother setting a spending limit before you enter Big Lots. If you do, you'll only end up finding a spectacular deal on something that you really want and/or need. So, you'll end up disappointing yourself by spending more than you intended or by missing a great deal which probably won't be there the next time you decide to visit. This is a nice Big Lots with lots of cool items and ever-changing deals. Even though the exterior looks ancient, the interior is clean and the staff is courteous. more

Great for Seasonal Items 4/13/2006

If you want to buy seasonal decorations for a fraction of the price, head over to Big Lots. It is like a regular department store, and they even have some (lower end) furniture. They sell overstock, so what is there today, may not be there tomorrow, and may not be there again. I've also bought books and toys there. I'd stay away from the food though, or at least look at the date. I bought some chocolate candy for stocking stuffers one year, and it was hard as a rock. more
