Tallahassee has two Big Lots stores that I'm aware of: the one on Pensacola Street and this one. Of the two, I much prefer this one: it's cleaner, the staff is nicer, it's better organized, and it has a better selection. Great for seasonal items, as well as picking up some canned groceries and pasta. more

The better of the two 9/11/2006

This Big Lots in on the east side of town, in a strip mall along Capital Circle. It is bigger than the other one, and cleaner. It has a huge selection of...stuff! Not really specific things, since the inventory is constantly changing. But they usually have a bunch of seasonal items, lots of toys, furniture, etc. The store sections are somewhat scattered. If you are looking to get some stationery supplies, for example, you may need to go to 4 different areas of the store to gather everything that you are looking for. The prices are generally really good and there are some real gems of bargains if you happen to find them. more

If you have somthing in mind and a lot time to shop 4/17/2006

This is a mediocre discount store, with a lot of different random products to choose form. The store is sectioned very weird and is always at some state of a miss. The floor looks like it hasn’t been shine since the first day the store opens. The shelves are usually half empty or fill with stuff that doesn’t belong in the section. Checkout machines looks like it has been drop a couple of time and how in the word does the credit card machine still work. more
