I started eating Big John Steak and Onion subs with melted cheese hot off the grill when I worked near one of them. Occasionally I would have a cold sub, my favorite being the Italian, which was spicy and greasy goodness. I don't get a chance to eat there very often, but I still like the same as before. I imagine these are similar to Philly cheese steaks...but I don't know for sure.
