The restaurant is only about 30 minutes from the house and their menu online looked pricey but good. I knew I wanted to treat my family to a nice meal so I purchased the $50 certificate from restaurant dot com and we decided to enjoy it for Mother's Day.
I made reservations on last weekend. The restaurant made reservations for 1pm but called back later that day and said because it was Mother's Day, they were only taking reservations for 12 and 2pm. No mention that it was a special promotion. Their website made no mention that it was a special promotion day/brunch either.
We ate. The food was mediocre, some cold, and by the time I got there it was picked over. The waitress twice pushed the certificate out of the way instead of taking it. When picking up the check for payment, she informed me that they could not accept because it was promotion day. I explained our situation to her. She returned and said the manager said it could not be accepted. We left frustrated and with $139.00 less in the wallet. The amount we spend weekly for groceries.
