It all starts with the operator. Condescending and rude. Then you meet the driver who may or may not be sober. I felt like a piece of meat the driver was drooling over. Never again! more

Big Daddy is a taxi company that operates mostly around East Lansing and is used mostly by college students to shuttle them to and from the local bars. As such, riding on a Big Daddy taxi is a unique experience. Nearly their entire fleet is large passenger vans that are driver owned and operated. As such, you won’t see much consistency between different drivers and the comfort of your accommodations. More likely than not, you will be sharing your taxi with other people, as the service tends to act more like a shuttle bus than a traditional taxi service. The upshot to this is you get to meet new and interesting, but inebriated, individuals. Also, it will result in a pretty cheap cab ride, as they will take you pretty much anywhere in East Lansing for $3-4 per person. more
