In the Village is a number of shops with country decor, books, art, and Christmas decorations. You can find plenty of excellent restaurants to dine in, like Paoli's Italian Restaurant with delicious pizzas, Kujo's Cafe with fresh sandwiches and salads, and Denny's & IHOP for a great breakfast. You can visit many antique shops in the area as well as bowl in the local bowling alley and taste beer at the Big Bear Mountain Brewery.
During the summer months they have Friday night concerts, nature nights at the Big Bear Discovery Center, charter fishing, and hiking trails to explore. In the winter there are the ski resorts to enjoy skiing and snowboarding as well as sledding and snow ball fights. Christmas in The Village is fun for the kids as they sit on Santa's lap to ask Santa for gifts, enjoy the Christmas lights glowing on the trees and street lights, and view the Christmas decorations in the windows.
