I've been a customer at Big Apple Pizza since they opened. I'm not a very sophisticated person, but I do know what I like, and that's a real pizza pie. I lived on the East Coast and tasted many, many pies, and subs as well, but they do not compare to the delicious home made style food that Todd makes. He makes his OWN mozzarella, dough (fresh!) and rolls, sauces, meatballs...and the meat he uses is top quality. His veggies and other ingredients are very fresh and well-selected. I popped in today for my regular 'slice', but decided to have a sub instead. I nearly fell off my chair. It was FULL of meat - huge portion - all the way to the end of the roll (not like some joints), just the right amount of 'shrooms and peppers and onions, sauteed just right and nice, creamy provolone cheese. The roll was fresh and very, very tasty. I've never EVER had anything but excellent food at Big Apple Pizza. The prices are just right - if it's too expensive for you, go buy a frozen pie at the grocery store, and see what you get. I've eaten at most of the pizzarerias in the area, but Big Apple is heads above the rest. The casual friendliness (joking aside, they're from Jersey and New York, so you're gonna get some yelling, hey, get outta here!) All the entrees are so savory and well seasoned. This is the real deal - what a pizza should be - no fancy schmancy toppings, soggy or stale bread. Best of all, no contrived, nouveau cuisine - hey, it's PIZZA for crying out loud! I challenge anyone to find a better pizza place rated on top quality food, taste, price and CONSISTENCY! I can fully depend on Todd to deliver up what I order and make it so freakin' good, I wanna cry!
Pros: Truly homemade down to the cheese pizza and subs
