Good: Never got the chance to like anything. Bicycle John told us he was not interested in our questions or business the minute we got his attention.. Bad: We asked if he sold jerseys. Other reviews have said he did. He told us that he didn't sell jerseys, hats, or t-shirts, and then turned his back on us and went back to his work area without another word.. Improvements: Civility.. Other: Obviously his business does not cater to tourists, but answering reasonable questions from tourists in a friendly fashion would not be terribly difficult. If his people skills are that challenged, a simple large sign outside the store of what can or cannot be bought at Bicycle John's would should give John the peace and quiet he apparently craves.. more

Bicycle John is an old fixture on Kauai. He offers countless different bike models for every riding style and need, and also sells jerseys, custom bike seats, etc. He also does repairs and some bike tours! His most valuable asset is his knowledge. You always feel welcomed to stop by with any of your bike questions. Unfortunately, this place is a little expensive.
