My family attended this church as a child when the Senior Pastor Reed was the minister. After being away for a while my brother and I returned to the church and attended regularly. Upon our return the church had been turned over to the Pastor's son, Freddie Reed. Although the church was small, the youth program at the time was engaging and really developed a sense of community. However, the were things being preached at the pulpit that were not biblical such as ""Some people call me a white supremacist but that's not true. I believe J ews are the chosen race. Then there are white people and under them is everyone else."" There started to be many demands that did not previously exist about clothing and while I understand the desire for modest dress, it was made clear to us that we could not attend services if we did not wear specific types of clothes. Finally, Freddie Reed and the youth pastor came to my home on a random afternoon and told me I was not welcome to every attend church at Bible Baptist again. I was 13 years old. I called a family within the church and they offered to take me to church with them and discuss the matter with Mr.Reed, but I was very hurt and declined.
I do not know the current leadership and I cannot speak at all about their practices, but this was my experience with the church.
Pros: small, cozy church community
Cons: A history of questionable leadership
