Love that restuarant! Food is creative and adventursome- great flavor matching and creatively served- competitive pricing and friendly and knowledgable wait staff. Crab Cake Benedict and Corn Geef Hash are real winners, as are the theme salads. Pros: Lively place, great menu Cons: parking is difficult at peak times more

Terrible dining experience 8/12/2009

Rude service, awful food, and way too expensive. I've paid more for dining but never with such low quality. I drive by this place on my way home. Next time, I will just keep on driving. Pros: I heard this was a great place to dine but..... Cons: I found it to completely the opposite more

Epitome of great neighborhood dining without the HUGE price! 11/15/2008

This place has a great selection of great dishes, and decorated perfectly on your plate. I have only had one bad dish and that was the coffee crusted steak and it was just too salty, which I don't believe it was meant to be served that salty. The ambiance is cute and cozy and most times just a bit to small, since most of the times you have to wait for a table. On the weekends, the place always seems full to capacity. I guess to recession-proof the place, the owner refuses to expand. Most times I just wait patiently in the way-to-small lobby or if Bed, Bath and Beyond is open, go shopping until my table is ready. Pros: great selections, cute and cozy Cons: loooong wait, small lobby, no reservations more

great food 3/1/2008

GREAT FOOD , GREAT SERVICE best pancakes for breakfast and for lunch the crab cake sandwich excellent. more

Fabulous Food, Wonderful Service, but Hostile Hostesses? 11/24/2007

Wonderful entrees. Staff is excellent. They are always very accomodating and will always fulfill any needs you may have. I completely disagree with the review that said that food was always the same. It is always the same if you mean unique and delicious. The bartenders are always thorough and make up excellent cocktails. Pros: Management, Waitstaff, menu, wine, bar Cons: No reservations, Hostesses more

Just more of the same... 3/9/2007

The food was good but not excellent. Tired menu; same offerings year after year. Yes, stay with what is ""tried and true"" but also venture a bit. more

Little Gem shines brightly 4/14/2006

This tucked-away epicurean delight is simply outstanding. The prices are very reasonable for a wide range of gourmet fare, which is never pretentious and never dissapoints. A reasonable and interesting wine list, superb coffee, and attentive service make for terrific dining anytime. Pros: quality of food, good value, varied menu Cons: noisy, crowded more

No Whining... but Great WIne! 10/8/2004

What a great spot to both feast on great food fare, but run in to lots of acquaintences as well. A person of insight will know that the reason you can't eat here in anonymity is because every one else knows that the Grill indulges the palate with marvelous culinary creations ... and a very amply wine selection. Pros: awesome food, great service, great wines Cons: , gonna wait a bit more

I'm hooked... 11/10/2003

I dont know what I like better the crowd, the incredible staff, or the beautiful and tasty food. If you make it to Detroit, check out this hot spot. Everyone that I bring from out of town simply must have a pack of matches to remember the experience. If you go for breakfast, enjoy a Mimosa and the Banana Fosters French Toast. For lunch, the salads are always fresh with incredible dressings. You have to try one of these burgers. Dinner is elegantly understated. The meats are always prepared perfectly to order and the sides are as unique as they are delicious. Save room for desert because they are killer. You can get good food anywhere, but Beverly Hills Grill has just the right twist of service and style. Kudos to who ever creates the specials of the day. Thank you for creating a Sunday Oasis for me in Detroit. Pros: Style and Crowd, Incredible Specials, Service with a Smile Cons: Wait more

Sorry---doesn't cut it--at all 9/23/2002

Breakfast....eggs, toast, French Toast, Pancakes---there's nothing like starting out your day with the morning paper at your favorite little diner and taking in the atmosphere---The Beverly Hills Grill, by title, would almost lead you to believe in inexpensive breakfast specials, a warm and cozy atmosphere and a waitstaff sporting names such as Mable and Berta...but... well.... that's not really the case--- Truth is... I've paid half the price for some of these breakfast staples and they tasted just as good if not better to WAY BETTER at 'real' diners that would take an additional 5 minutes to drive to... If you're one of the 'price doesn't matter' set- my recommendation would be the ""Breakfast Club"" or ""Toast"" (RIP Delias) where you can pay about the same and come out not feeling quite so 'taken'---- Pros: Location, Clean Bathrooms Cons: Expensive, "distant" waitstaff, Stuffy more

Good Hangout 9/18/2002

A good little hangout. Food is usually good and consistent. Service is very good. more

Outstanding 8/25/2002

The service, price value, and quality of food are outstanding. On the weekends this joint is always on jam, and that's a good thang. Pros: Service, Good Parking, The Food Cons: Location, Expensive, Not Kid Friendly more

Simply the Best 8/20/2002

One of the few places in Detroit to find different and interesting dishes to eat for breakfast. If you are tired of eggs and pancakes this is the place to go. It is easy to be adventurous because everything on the menu is good and the daily specials are always new. more

Good Eats 8/7/2002

I am not really sure why I have to write something here...the food is good...give it a try. more

Flavor! 7/22/2002

Beverly Hills Grill serves breakfasts that are a bit adventurous without being too way out. The seasonings are used to delight not overpower. A great place for those looking to edge away from traditional bacon and egg morning meals. Cost is slightly higher than one would usually pay for a breakfast, but the treat is well worth it! Pros: food, mimosas, service Cons: sometimes a line more

  • For over 30 years, our sophisticated menu of contemporary American food has drawn guests from far and wide. You can’t beat the vibe of Beverly Hills Grill. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served seven days a week, and our weekend brunch is simply legendary. With a menu and décor inspired by the Californian city of Beverly Hills, we’re small enough to feel cozy but big on both flavor and style.
