My maid of honor ordered a dress for my wedding here. When it came in it was 4-6 inches too small! The store refused to admit that they may have made a mistake measuring her or something. They said she must have gained the weight. If she had gained 4-6 inches she would need a new wardrobe wouldn't she? She also got married a few weeks before picking up and trying on this dress. Her wedding dress which was ordered somewhere else long before this one fit perfectly. It was taken in, in fact. If she had gained weight- it would be too tight. When I explained all of this to the shop the response was ""we've been here for 100 years, we don't make those kinds of mistakes"". The OWNER accused me of lying, yelled at me and was completely unprofessional all around. The alterations are costing my MOH twice the price of the dress. Betty's swore they can't get a new dress rush ordered in two months and refused to help pay for alterations. Pros: I guess they actually sell dress? Measured my daughter's bust at a 19.5, ordered a size 2 dress with a documented bust of 33, and assurred me I wouldn't have to get alterations because I specifically stated that I could not due to time and money. They did not tell me about the 3.5"" difference in bust, or I would have gone elsewhere. The dress is HUGE and we have 7 days to get it altered. I hate to think how much that will cost. It is falling off my daughter. Only response is ""well bridesmaid dresses usually need to be altered"". Huh?? So much for them listening to my original requirement. No customer service after the sale. Cons: Lack of attention to detail more

The only reason that I went to this bridal shop was b/c they had the after six dresses that I had seen in a magazine. I should have known from the get-go that this was going to be bad news. First off the store just seemed dirty. The times I went the staff seemed to be doing way too many things at once and I could barely get their attention. But I stuck it out b/c I wanted these dresses. My girls and I ordered the dresses approximately 8 months before the wedding they came in about 3 months before the wedding (why it took so long i don't know). When 2 of the girls went to pick up their dresses they had ordered the wrong ones. Not only that but they tried to blame me for the mix up, saying that I had confirmed with them this order. I had to wait over A MONTH for them to get the right dresses in. It took a bridesmaid calling them and complain and then all of a sudden the dress was miraculously there 2 days later. Now here is the kicker...I have a very tight schedule and have to get this last dress picked up b/c my bridesmaid is going out of the country I call a few days earlier to confirm they are open until 4. I leave work early to pick up her dress and get there at 3:40 and they are closed! I now have to rearrange my work schedule AGAIN to get this dress. Weddings are stressful enough and there are so many other wonderful establishments don't waste your time with this mess of a ""bridal shop!!!!"" Now that is an impressive title, but it is definitly the truth!!! This shop is amazing! They have a great selection of brides and bridesmaid dresses at discounted prices; about $100-300 difference, and good hours. The owner, Barbara, is so helpful and I wouldn't have gotten everything together if it wasn't for her! She's very flexible and will do anything she can to help. After ordering my dress, I couldn't find a veil or a tiara that I liked. I had seen a veil that I liked, but then of course couldn't find it again. It was a Private Label by G and that was all I knew. They don't have their pictures on their website, so she contacted them directly and they e-mailed her pictures, and then she e-mailed them to my mother and I. So we were able to find the perfect veil to go with my dress. The veil that I ended up loving was also at L&H Bridal, she was charging $500 for it, Barbara charged me $200. What a huge price difference. And the tiara I found was at another shop, she saved me $95 on it. more
