I have been taking both of my dogs to World of Animals since I moved to the area two years ago, and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff there are extremely friendly and helpful, not to mention their hours are incredibly convenient (open 7 days a week and late on weekdays). I recently had my puppy spayed there and the doctor was so helpful and caring, they even called a few times after I took her home to make sure everything was going well. Sharon is so helpful and so nice, and Dr. Tanya treats my dogs as if they were her own! I am really happy I found this place, definitely the best in the area...even better than the twice-as-expensive vet I was going to in Washington, DC prior. more

COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE!!! 6/8/2012

I took all 3 of my animals to Bethayers (2 dogs and a cat). The staff was extremely friendly. My animals and I were seen by both, Dr. Kameneva and Dr. Shields. Both were great and very helpful. They seem to go an extra mile to please the clients. I got an appointment right away cause they are the ONLY place that's open 7 days a week and a follow up calls to make sure my animals and "I" were okay. I give this place thumbs up and will definately keep them as my VETS! Thanks Dr. K. for personalized attention!!! :) more

Worst and most unprofessional Vet EVER! 3/20/2012

We took our dog to this vet because we recently moved and were in an emergency situation. Our pup was bitten by two ticks and started showing the symptoms of lyme disease. We had the unfortunate luck of seeing Dr. Incze. He was BY FAR the most arrogant, rude, unprofessional, and condescending PERSON I have ever met, let alone the worst vet. He dismissed all of our concerns and questions, went on a rant about who knows what, and then recommended a blood test. The tech then took the blood and said to wait 10 minutes for the results. A minute later, the Dr. (if you can call him that) came back and basically asked us why we were still there. We told him the tech told us to wait, and he responded with "didn't you hear me say I'd call you in the morning?" Again, we said the tech was doing the test and we were told that we could wait. He told us the tech is to do as she's told (direct quote, and let's add chauvinistic to our list of complaints), and said that he's leaving for the nig more

Dr. Kameneva is extraordinary 10/13/2011

I was away on vacation when my three dogs were accidentally poisoned. Dr. Kameneva was terrific. I had never taken my animals there before. The Vet down the road turned our pet sitter away. This practice could have done the same thing but choose to help. They were able to save two of my three dogs and I am immensely grateful. I only dealt with Dr. Kameneva and have no opinions on the other doctors. She is a class act. It was not cheap but they were reasonable and cut us some breaks so we could afford it. Dr. Kameneva cancelled all her appointment to care for my little dogs and the practice had someone checking on them all night. When I got there they let me stay with my dogs and were again wonderful. more

Excellent Vet! 6/27/2011

We have used this vet for 7 years and we have three dogs and two cats. They have been excellent all around. Both doctors know our animals well and care very much about their well-being. They have done multiple surgeries on our animals including cancer/tumor removal, spaying and neutering, gum surgery, and teeth cleaning. They do not simply want to take your money (as some other people have suggested)...in fact, they lowered one of our surgical bills by almost half when they thought the surgery was important and we did not have the financial resources to pay at the time. They have a 24/7 beeper which we have used when one of our dogs woke up and had a seizure at 3:00am. The doctor stayed on the phone with us the entire time and told us what to expect. They do not charge for this service! Both doctors are wonderful. more

this place is fine 12/14/2010

we have used this vet since 2002 and have had good experiences with them every time. We have 4 cats and all have faired very well at this place. Dr.Shields is great and Dr.Incze is very good also. they are caring Doctors and I will not go any other place. I have always gotten an estimate before any big work and they are fairly priced. At this time my one cat is there getting a procedure and had to stay overnight. more

Good Doctors and Good Care 9/30/2010

We have used Bethayres Veterinary Hospital since 2004 for our two cats. The care that our pets received has been excellent. Dr. Shelds and Dr. Incze have been wonderful in explaining issues regarding pet care to us. The staff is both friendly and professional. more

HORRIBLE INCOMPETEANT DR INCZA $ GRUBBER 2/26/2009

This is by far the worst vet hospital I have ever been to. They are only out for the money and don't care about animals!!I took my dog to the vet for a rabies vaccine and a check up. I was then told that they ran blood work on my dog which I never even asked them to do. Then Dr. Incza who I believe is a completely INCOMPETENT DR told me they wouldn't run the blood work since I did not want it. When I go to pay for the rabies and vaccine; the secretary decides to slip in another charge for which I told her I did not ask her. I asked for the DR and she tells me he had left; so I ask that they call him him and they tell me that he has no cellphone! I refused to pay the extra charge and she told me the DR will call me at night to discuss this. DR. INCZA calls me and basically tells me that I am a liar and I did ask for this shot. Then, after repeatedly telling him I refuse to pay for services I did not ask for he tells me that he ran the blood work which was done on my dog (which keep in m more

Quality Compassionate Care 11/12/2008

I originally began taking my dogs and cats here due to the strong recommendation of my pet-owning neighbors when I moved here in 1999. I have had pets my entire life and have seen many different Vets. Bethayres is probably the best that I have had care for my animals. They are kind, thorough, and compasionate from the doctors to the techs to the receptionists. I couldn't ask for more from a veterinary practice. I have read some previously posted reviews that are completely contradictory to my own experience as well as to every other pet-owner that I know. Obviously, some people have an ax to grind. All that I can say is that their negative experience is completely at odds with what I have personally witnessed with this practice. more

BETHAYRES ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS EXCELLENT !! 10/24/2008

I honestly do not have a clue what some of the other reviewers are talking about. I live minutes away and called for an appointment for my cat. I was given an appointment the very next morning first thing.\r \r When I arrived I was treated like a king and my cat was too. I do not see what all the complaints could possibly be about. Everything that was done at the appointment was completely professional and the entire staff could not have been nicer.\r \r As for others saying they are money hungry? That is totally incorrect !! My bill was way less than I would have expected to pay. Actually it was about half the price as the last vet I went to and my cat and I were extremely comfortable with the care and services provided.\r \r Those of you reading this review may want to overlook some of the crazy reviews left before me. Awful Experience! 8/5/2008

Our regular vet was away and our pooch had been pokey. We took him to the closes vet. He was seen by Dr. Incze whom we found to be an arrogrant, sarcastic vet who made unkind remarks about our vets. He diagnosed our dog with a dermititis which he made a big deal about (which just about all of this breed have)and felt he had Lyme Disease. He gave him an antibiotic injection (not suitable for Lyme Disease), a cortisone injection and drew blood to test for Lyme. The next morning my dog was vitrually paralyzed and could not stand. Dr. Incze called soon after to tell me his Lyme test was positive and he needed a different antiobiotic. We rushed our pooch to our regular vet who felt it could also be something else, and told us that if it is Lyme Disease, the worst thing to give a dog is cortisone as it makes the condition worse. For this, my bill was $215. Would highly recommend anyone to avoid this clinic. This is a zero star clinic. more

MANY THANKS 5/2/2008

My schnauzer had a knee cap that kept popping out of place from and injury. It never heeled properly, and she was limping and in a lot of pain. I couldn't find a vet anywhere to do the surgery. Dr. shields came highly recommended, and in my opinion, he did a fantastic job. My dog heeled quickly with little or no pain and no infection. She has never limped again, and has resumed her job of keeping the rabbits and squirrels out of my yard.This was a big surgery, and i was very nervous about leaving my dog, but the staff were so friendly and professional. Dr. shields was very kind and gentle to my dog, and was very specific about what he was going to do and went out of his way to ease my fears. more

This place is your worst nightmare come true. 4/22/2008

This is a really bad animal hospital. They are basically money hungry evil people. They neglected my animals while taking every penny I had. I was a client for years. I believed my cat and dog were both in good health. I even brought my cat into Dr. Incza for an exam to clear him for an airplane flight (we move across country). He said he was fine. A few days after arriving to our new home, I took my cat to the Vet here - he did not seem well at all. The Vet felt his stomach then took an X-ray. He had cancer and an enormous tumor in his intestines (he was dying for months) . The vet was upset and believed I had neglected my cat for years. I was told it was very obvious to any intelligent Vet that he was ill. But Dr. Sheilds and the crew at Bethayres ignored this or he really doesn't have a clue about veterinary medicine. Either way these people don't belong in the veterinary field or anywhere near animals in my opinion. This place is your worst nightmare come true and you will pay for more

Don't judge the practice by 1 Veterinarian... 1/14/2008

I have gone to Bethayres to have Dr. Sheilds check out my puppy. He was VERY friendly and helpful. (That goes for the rest of the staff too, including the techs and assistants) It sounds like the other reviews were about the other doctor.\r Dr. Sheilds is not one to act that way towards the animal patients. He is VERY caring and he loves the animals he sees. (that is why he has been in the business for so long, and why he co-owns a practice). Please Please Please do not judge the ENTIRE practice and staff by what has happend by one doctor.. *I know because I have personally had the pleasure of meeting both of them.. more

incompetent VETS 12/22/2007

I took my dog to be spayed there and she ended up dying on the operating table! Then these incompetents sent me a huge bill after they killed my dog. Stay away from these BUMS! more
