Best Buy

I bought a 50"" plasma, and it lasted less than 24 hours. Although I managed to get it home by transporting it in my car, the employee and I had to take it out of the box to transport it, and it ripped my leather seats in unloading. (Not the store's problem, I know.) When I inquired into switching out the television for one that actually works, they told me I could bring it in myself, or they could CHARGE me for taking back the sale of a television that does not work. (Power source is bad. The tv turns on and off over and over by itself.) I asked to speak to a store manager, and they said, ""Sure"", then hung up on me. After the third time of waiting for 20 minutes for someone to pick up the phone, then getting hung up on again, I gave up. I won't darken the doorway of this establishement again. Shoddy product and horrible customer service, and the manager doesn't even know it because nobody will allow a call to make it through to him/her. Pros: very few Cons: see below more

Geek Squad prices are competitive with other stores and mom and pop shops. Mom and pop shops don't offer three month warranties on their work, and typically charge by the hour. Most items do not have more than a 10-20% markup from the manufacturer's price. Some items are even BELOW the cost of what the store pays for the items when they're on sale... plus you don't have to ever deal with any mail in rebates. All mail in rebates are taken off immediately in the store, so they just advertise the price post-rebate since that's what you end up paying, which is great compared to Fry's which has a mail in rebate on almost everything. The geek squad team is very over priced with service. They mark up thier sales almost 100%, and have to ship out 99% of the time for repairs. The turn around time is weeks. I have happened upon a smaller company in the woodlands area that has a one day turn around time. I was extremely excited about this. The quality of work was the best. This Best buy has the greatest items and sales. Everytime I go in there, I don't walk out without finding a great deal. The sales people are great and very knowlegable on the products they are selling. I love shopping here and recommend this store. more

best buy always has the lastest and greatest in electronics. i like to just go in once a week or so to get my fix eventhough i dont usually buy anything. its great to just browse around more

I always try and shop at this Best Buy location because I seem to always find what I need. When they offer a sale item most of the time they have it there. I know now and then they offer a limited number of a certain sale item but most of the time I find it at this location. The employees are really friendly and willing to help you. In fact, I never go looking for my item I just hand the sales paper to the employee and they lead me to it. Great store! more

This is the location I found to have the must sales, why I don't know! Their selection on DVDs and PC games beat everyone in the area too. Staff is friendly, just ask if you need help! PROS: Price. CONS: Nothing. more

Love to go to this store and spend hours looking around at all their computers and various equipment. They have tapes, CDs, magazines, telephones, refrigerators, TVs, as well as a few office supplies, plus the big items such as computers. more
