The grounds of this garden are divided into different areas including a native plants trail, a rock garden, redwood trees and a rhododendron collection. After you see the amazing natural areas of this place you will appreciate the efforts of this organization to preserve threatened plant species. They stress education and offer hands on workshops. more

Different from the Public Gardens 1/9/2006

Always call ahead for an apointment because the Berry Botanical Garden has limited hours and is in a residential area so parking is limited. This was a private garden and has been earmarked as a consevation site where they store native and rare seeds. There are collections of unusual types of primrose and rhododendrons as well as a lot of rock garden plants. This is not a huge garden but one that hosts interesting classes and events. more
