This grand hotel is no longer open and is, as a matter of fact, at the mercy of the City Counsel. Someone was interested in purchasing this Elegant piece of architecture but the City Counsel opposed the purchase. It seems that the interested party was planning to turn this beautiful place with so many wonderful memories into a low income housing project. That would have destroyed the grandure, and elegance of this old place. I haven't heard lately if there are any plans in the works for this place but I sure do hope that someone will revive it and make it a place of elegance once again.
