Bennachin is located on a Royal St., two blocks below Esplanade Ave. It specializes in the cuisines of Cameroon and Gambia, a slightly more eclectic offering than the rest of the city's many great restaurants. Most of the dishes are simple yet delicious, sticking to the basics with succulent meats and fantastic spices and sauces. The staff is very friendly and helpful for picking out a dish from a menu of dishes most people have never encountered before. Additionally, Bennachin is one of the few BYOB spots in town, and there is no charge for bringing in one's own supply of beer or wine.
