I have been hopping from Thai restaurant to Thai restaurant from Monroe to the East side comparing Pad Thai dishes. I must say that the one at Benjarong is my least favorite. The flavors were more ""muddled"" and less distinct. It is very hard to explain, but with really good Pad Thai you just can't stop eating it, everything is in perfect balance with savory/sweet/tangy/spicy, with that crunch of nuts and perfectly tender meat. At Benjarong the nuts lacked crunch, the meat was somehow lost, the flavors all around were just not as pronounced, and the spice was not well mixed ( I bit into several VERY hot spots in my dish). I highly recommend venturing to Redmond for a sweet little hole-in-the-wall called Noodle Land, where everything is fresh, fresh, fresh! Or to Kirkland, to the unassuming but delicious Tommy Thai restaurant.
Pros: Lovely atmosphere, great murals
Cons: Just ok food, not worth the price
