This is by far the most unprofessional and awful real-estate agent in Boston. Of course I don't have experience with all of them, but no one could be worse than this guy. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have.
My husband and I are the current tenants of a gorgeous Brighton apartment that is currently being shown. We came home to our apartment after work to find that a key was left stuck in our front door, with no one in sight, and absolutely no idea what was going on. Turns out that someone from Benjamin Apartments had come to show the apartment earlier in the day, got the key stuck, and decided to leave, leaving our apartment completely vulnerable to BURGLARY. I mean the key was right in the door! Anyone could have entered and taken anything they wanted. Additionally they provided NO NOTICE whatsoever, which is not only rude, but illegal, (hello - it's called TRESPASSING). Turns out they had some master key to our apartment, that they should never have had, and thought that gave them the right to show up and enter our apartment without any warning or permission.
By far the worst part, however, was Benjamin himself. He showed up when he saw a maintenance man come into our building to get the key out of the lock, and proceeded to argue with my husband about what had happened, insisting that they had called us, that no one had come into our apartment, and that he had done nothing wrong. My husband had to ask him 3 times to leave our apartment before he would get out. This guy is rude and arrogant, apparently doesn't know real-estate law well enough to not trespass, and is a class A jerk.
In fairness he did call later that evening and try to smooth things over. Or maybe just to see if we were pressing charges.
