The 'Ben's Supper' (only served from 5-6 pm) we had tonight was a creative fusion like no other. The menu borrows from many different ethnic cuisines (Mediterranean, Californian, Indian, South-East Asian, comfort foods, among others). For example, the main entree included steamed mussels and Mahi-Mahi seeped in a wonderfully flavorful tomato broth, topped with chick peas and red pepper aioli.
Lance, Ben's father and presumably the owner/chef, made us feel right at home. He was very accomodating and warm. Half of the delight of our dining experience was feeling very welcomed by the staff.
I highly recommend this casual/hip restaurant on Solano to anyone who is interested in trying a novel cuisine or likes to feel well taken care of.
