We have tried three different pools for swim lessons, two just because the logistics worked out better, and BAC. BAC was dreadful. The pool was ok but way too many swimmers crowded in per lesson period. The teacher my child had was awful. Clearly no interest in being there, bullied the children and a pretty cold person all around. NOT what you want teaching your kids. This girl should be in a job where people skills and basic respect for others are not requirements. My suggestion: go elsewhere. Anywhere else is better, IMO. more

But, they have towel service 2/25/2006

I'll admit it - I belong to two gyms in Bellingham (Golds and BAC) so I'm not saying this gym has it all but I like BAC for their steam room, hot tub, pool, racquetball courts *and* they offer a towel service so you don't have to actually bring your own towel. I haven't found the place to be any more crowded than Golds during the times I go, though their classes are always jam-packed. Yes, they are more expensive but there isn't any other gym in Bellingham with the amenities they have. more

Typical big club 8/15/2005

The Bellingham Athletic Club is a typical big club with many members and is always jam packed with people. You will definitely have to wait to get on the machine of your choice. If you like all of the looking and staring then this is your club of choice. The service is poor and unprofessional and the cost is way over what you can compare with at other gyms. more
