I want to thank you again for all the good care you and your staff gave to my baby Mo Mo. Of course I miss him terribly, and poor Austin still doesn't know what to do with himself at times. He and Mo Mo were the best buddies. Austin took such good care of him. The sicker Mo Mo got the more of him Austin would groom. Usually it was just his face and ears, at the end it was all the way down past his neck. Mo Mo really loved it the worse he got the more he seemed to love it. He got so he would lay with his head back, his eyes closed and his mouth half open. They were so very close together. I have decided I can't have any more cats. I'm getting too old for the grief when they go, and anyway, I am quite impoverished now I am afraid. Breaking my wrist last year cost me a good bit of money. So, I am so sorry to say it's become very hard for me to afford their medical care. Of course I will take care of Austin as long as he lives. I decided I will foster cats or kittens for Debbie from her Seal Beach animal shelter. I think you remember her. She's the nurse for all their cats and volunteers there almost full time. If I foster, they will pay for all the medical care. I have to do something for Austin. He's not really happy without a buddy. I know I need to bring him in but it means chasing him around until he goes in the cupboard and then I trap him in the cat carrier. It's awfully traumatic (in both of us). It's so weird, I can tickle his tummy and play with his feet and he's ok. But when I pick him up and he panics - and he's very strong and fast. He's a really gentle, some what timid soul. I try to be grateful for having him. He was the last kitty I had when I was basically dying. And my cats were my only constant companions. So it's hard for me to think he ever suffered much the day he died. He just got a feverish look. Thank you again. You are a wonderful doctor and a very good person.
