I recently visited Bellezza for a pedicure. I intentionally booked a Monday morning, and was told by a receptionist that they would be virtually empty at that time (they were). When I arrived with my sleeping infant son in tow, however, I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable -- indeed, a member of the staff not-so-subtley suggested that I should get up and leave, rather than keep my appointment, but retracted that suggestion when she saw that my feet were already submerged in the pedicure tub. Though we disturbed no one (which is more than I can say for the brood of little boys getting haircuts there), I was made to feel like a freak. It felt like a scene out of Pretty Woman. It's too bad, as I am a frequent spa-goer and would love to have found a place on the Cape to spend a relaxing day with a girlfriend (normally I have a babysitter available). The pedicure itself was fine, but the experience was awful. I will never go back.
