Best

Bella's is one of our favorite pizza and wings spots. They've got everything from pasta dishes to calzones and hot sandwiches. I'm always craving their antipasta salad with its fr...

Worst

I have been there a few times, and I don't understand the raves. They are fine for a slice and soda for lunch, but that's about it. No atmosphere, the food is just okay. No...

Best Pizza and Service in Austell 7/13/2006

The Bellas in Austell has the best pizza and service anywhere around the area. We use to go to Outback, but the service is so bad, that we went into the Bella's across from it one night, and had the best pizza ever, and the service kicked Outbacks behind. Our server Martha was very friendly and when the manager found out this was our first time visiting, he sent out an order of garlic knots for us to try. We have gone back 3x since then and every time the service and food has been great. Pros: Great pizza and service more

Bellas in Austell Rocks!!!! 6/21/2006

My boyfriend and I are die-hard pizza eaters, and we fell in love with the Bellas in Vinings a year ago. The pizza is the best in town, but we have since changed to their Austell location because we live closer to it, and best of all, it has better pizza and much better service than the one located in Vinings. Either location will serve you the best pizza in town, but service wise, the Austell location does a much better job, and their servers and managers seem to be much happier at the Austell location than the Vinings location. The owners daughter, who told us she was 9, came out a gave us freshly made chocolate chip cookies, and thanked us for coming in. What a great place! Pros: Great Service, Great Food Cons: Beer and wine only. No liquer in Austell, but they have in Vinings. more

Very Expensive and stingy on toppings 4/12/2006

Had the meat lovers pizza(Vernosi Pizza) and didnt enjoy it at all. The meatballs and sausage are horrible, and the crust didnt taste that great. It cost me close to $18 and i only ate a couple slices and threw it away. What a waste Cons: not good pizza more

A little crowded but worth the wait 3/2/2006

I agree with the other reviewers that Bellas can get pretty crowded. On the weekends we go after 8:00 to avoid the large crowds and kids running all over the place. The thin pizza is a little greasy but very good. The salads are large and could be a meal on their own. The garlic knots are to die for--hot little rolls swimming in a sea of oil and garlic! There is a large room in the back that can be reserved for big groups. The service is average. Pros: Inexpensive, Great food, Garlic Knots! Cons: Crowded more

Overrated and Misunderstood Perhaps? 12/10/2005

I agree about the service and quality...not a slam just experience. We stopped by Friday because our usual pizza joint was crowded and the wait was too long (they have growth issues...not mentioning any names 'cuz we love the place) so we headed to Bellas...my foodie friends understand. Regardless, Bellas was weak...long wait...decent food...quality of the ""regulars"" was not what we were expecting. It seemed like a bar. Lots of sound, music, tv, is cool but the food was 30 minutes to the table and when we got it the slices lacked taste. Good crust but overall the wait ruined it. We didn't make a stink of it with the manager. As for the atmospere, the posters, and the overall feel it just seemed that they should call themselves a sports bar...not a pizzeria. It was just ""barfood."" Three Dollar Cafe put out better food and service in their day. Pros: Sound System Cons: Service, Food, Strip Mall more

Bella's Pizzeria 11/8/2005

Great pizza, horrible service. Add atleast 1/2 hour on to whatever time they give you! I was told 30 minutes, gave them 40, and still had to wait 20 MORE minutes!!! Something like this happens EVERYTIME!!!!! Horrible horrible service. Order before you're hungry. more

Great Pizza ...Salad need major improvement. 8/6/2005

This joint has the best pizza but really needs help on how to make a good salad. The competiots make a better sald but are no match for to the quality of the pizza. Lately, I ahve noticed a drop in the service as well. Some members of the new wait staff are not attentive. Pros: pizza, pizza, pizza Cons: parking, salad more

Classic NY Pizza in a sports bar setting 8/6/2005

Fabulous pizzas, I recommend not getting too many toppings as it's real thin. Cool sports bar atmosphere. I've seen this place get real crowded on weekends. Pros: Pizza more

Meat tasted cheap 7/9/2005

Twice we went there and both times the meats especially the beef meatballs on the Pizza tasted very poor. Other places in Vinings offers better! more

REAL N.Y. Pizza 6/7/2005

Mario and his partner have done a great job in bringing authentic NY pizza to the ATL. I know, I am from NY and this is the only place in town I will buy pizza. Lucky for me I can walk there from home! Thin, crispy and just the right amount of cheese cooked to perfection. They will even grant the occasional request to make it a bit thinner (for those diet times).... Pros: colorful service, neighborhood atmosphe, Busy! Cons: parking challenged, Busy! more

Terrible service! 5/28/2005

And a VERY grumpy owner, as well! Great pizza, but I'm not interested in dealing with an owner with an anger management problem. more

Run, don't walk to a slice of NY in the ATL 5/14/2005

this is the real deal. Just like New York pizza in the city or on the boardwalk in Jersey. Once you have this, you will never need to have pizza anywhere else in Atlanta. Pros: crust, cheese, sauce Cons: not calorie friendly more

User review by spawoman88 5/8/2005

Cheesy late night commercials on Cartoon Network aside, this place has great pizza. And our server, Stick (really, his name is Stick), was very cool and pleasant. At the moment they're offering 50% off (that's HALF OFF!!) pizza from 10PM till close Monday thru Friday. See you there... Pros: laid-back atmosphere, perfect service, tasty pizza Cons: um, not open 24/7 more

User review by ft36 4/26/2005

Service is slow and staff is not friendly. Food is average. If this is what NY style pizza is about, they can go back home. Pros: Can buy by the slice, free drink refills Cons: service, food quality, parking more

Only a Northeasterner knows real pizza 3/23/2005

This born and bred NE Yankee knows that Bella's is the closest thing to NY and Northend Boston pizza for 1000 miles. For 5.5 years in the South, I found nothing but pathetic thick crusted cardboard pies with ketchup for sauce, blech cheese, and freeze dried ingredients. Then I found Bella's! If you want fu-fu shushy CA cardboard or junky Southern attempts at pizza, go elsewhere. Bella's caters to those looking for a true NY pizza experience. Excellent pizza, real NY ownership, a little NY attitude, and zero pretention. At Bella's, I forget that I am below the Mason-Dixie line. The pizza is expensive for Atlanta, but it is worth it and they put out coupons sometimes. They also sell by the slice as a true pizza place should. If you want 2 pizzas for $9.00, then go to Dominos and eat old cardboard ;). Pros: Real NY Pizza, NY Ownership, Large Seating area Cons: tight parking lot more

The Absolute Best 6/15/2004

You will not find a better pizza in the Atlanta area. All other pizzerias dont even come close to the excellent taste of this pizza Pros: Owners, Great Value more

Best Pizza Ever 6/14/2004

This is the best pizza I've had since I went to grad school at Columbia! The pizza slices are the size of elephant ears, the service is terrific & friendly, the beer selection is good, and the prices are very good. It's well worth the drive. Pros: great pizza, inexpensive, good seating Cons: , you could get fat, won't want to leave more

Bellas Pizzeria - Bar None Number 1 3/7/2003

Hands down, Bella's serves the best pizza suburban Atlanta has to offer. Traditional to it's New York roots, Bella's pies are thin crusted with the perfect crispness. An impeccable blend of cheese, sauce, and spices will keep you coming back for more and the likes of Pizza Hut, Johnny's, Fellinis, Mellow Mushroom and Papa Johns will be memories. More than pizza, the menu provides a variety of Italian dishes for those seeking diversification. Family oriented and a true value make Bella's top notch. Pros: Excellent Service, Friendly Cons: small restaurant more

Not Good - avoid 2/13/2003

The second worst dining experience of my life. And I certainly wasn't expecting much from this strip-mall fare! But they failed on every level of dining. Dreadful food, bad attitudes. Cook yourself up a frozen pizza and save your money. The quest for good Italian in Vinings continues... Pros: Convenient parking, Drycleaning next door Cons: Dirty, Unpleasant, Blah food more

THE BEST 1/23/2003

If you eat pizza somewhere else you aren't doing yourself any favors. This is pizza the way it was meant to be. It also reheats incredibly well. GO NOW.. more
