I can't find enough nice things to say about Dr. Bix. She was wonderful. She never batted an eye about my homeschooling, extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping, selectively delayed vaxing, non-circing, non-cohersive potty training ways! She even empathized when my 3yo was throwing a temper tantrum on the floor of her office because his brother refused to give up the blocks that he was playing with. I've had some very bad experiences in the past with peds who were quick to dismiss my parenting beliefs and treat me as if I was unintelligent and uninformed and who expected my children to be developing certain skills at a quicker rate than what they were doing (and after 5 kids I can tell you that they ALL develop at their own rate!) I never, ever got that feeling from Dr. Bix. We will definately be back to see her again.
Pros: She's wonderful and even managed to get my son, who was having a grumpy morning, laughing and cooperative.
Cons: I think her nurse got snippy with me because I was late (I got stuck in construction traffic, blech) but that may have just been my perception since I felt guilty for being late, haha.
