Bel Paese Italian Ristorante

I ordered in, with delivery from carryout courier. Carryout courier was great, the food was awful. I ordered carbonara that had no flavor and the eggs in the sauce were scrambled. I paid 6.00 for 2 sides of spinach w/garlic. Aside from the price being crazy, there was not one stitch of garlic in the dish, What there was a lot of was oil. It took up half the container, and between the two orders, there was less than 1/2 cup of sad looking spinach. We also ordered the fried eggplant app, that was fried beyond recognition. I was able to squeeze out oil from the eggplant since it was not cooked right. The eggplant was soggy ( I realize this was delivery, but they could cut a hole in the container to make it stay crispy- common sense) and had zero flavor. It was just simply inedible. We also ordered a chicken sandwich to have for lunch the next day. It was 5.50 for a 3 inch sandwich. We have ordered this before and they were much larger. This was not our first bad experience with them. This will be however the last time I throw away 100.00 on food that is not worth it. I would stay away!!!! more

Bel Paese is, hands down, the best Italian restaurant in York County. The frescos and trompe l'oiel on the walls, the painted tin ceiling, and board of family photos indicate that you have entered a gastronomic world that is at once sophisticated and friendly. The dessert display and posted specials greeting you at the entrance prime your appetite. As you peruse the menu a friendly and knowledgeable wait-person brings warm homemade bread to your table. All this is just an introduction for the delights the chef is prepared to create for you, though. Using fresh and authentic ingrediants, the chef creates dishes that can be subtle or robust, traditional or contemporary, presented beautifully so that the eye is as pleased as the palate. Bel Paese has a wonderful selection of Italian food made on site. Whether you're in the mood for pasta of sandwiches. They have a wide selection to please anyone. You can also bring your own wine to have with your meal. Very quiet atmosphere and they serve you quickly. One word describes it. Excellent. more
