When we got our puppy we went to Fairmont Animal Hospital and upon our first interaction with them we were pleased. Then about a week later she was bit by a tick and because she had not received all of her lyme vaccination shots, we were concerned. When my husband called to get answers they were LESS than helpful. They did not respond to his email until after he called them 5 hours after the fact, and then emailed him back - yet did not address any of his concerns. They merely stated ""she will be fine, and we are not going to put her on antibiotics.""\r

Unsatisfied with the service, we decided to get a second opinion. The other vet decided our dog needed to be put on a month of antibiotics. He felt because she had not received the full vaccination for the Lyme disease that she was at risk, and antibiotics were the best route. (On top of this he found ear mites, which was strange considering she had been checked out at Fairmont 6 days prior, and ""didn't have any issues"")\r

Needless to say, the only thing good that came of our experience with the sub-par staff at Fairmont Animal Hospital was finding a new vet - who by the way, cost less money for an examination, medication, and treatment, than Fairmont charged for a less than thourough examination.\r

My opinion - if you love your pet; don't take them here.
