They have it all! 11/18/2011

I just went to this place for the third time and it's great. They have every kind of rock you can imagine. I just finished redoing my front yard and needed to ad some accents to some small areas. Shannon showed me some pebble called ""Jelly Bean"". My yard is now complete and looks like a pro did it. \r \r I highly recommend this place, they were very helpful and I didn't know what I was doing. You can't go wrong with these guys. more

Artificial Grass Display Garden 6/14/2011

Thanks to Randy and his staff out at Bedrock Boudlers for being a long standing supporter of my business. Years ago we installed a display garden to replace an existing artificial grass putting green which had been installed by another company. Randy and his staff have been very supportive over the years and give that ""local, hometown"" approach that I miss in our marketplace. Clearly, folks can have a bad day from time to time ( as witnessed in a couple of the reviews here ) but I would like to go on record here to say that we have always been treated respectfully and hope that folks needing rock etc. will stop in to see what's new out at Bedrock. ( by the way, we are NOT the company reviewer olc was given the business card of....we are still very much in business...and consideirng the economy, very grateful for it. ) Happy ventures to All! more

Very helpfull and friendly staff 5/17/2011

I was on the internet trying to find flagstone and I came across Bedrock Boulders and Landscape Products. I called them and they were very helpful on the phone so I decided to stop by their location to look at the flagstone. They had a lot to choose from. They had a beautiful display area that give me some others ideas as well. I will defiantly go back as they were very helpful.\r \r more

Bad Material - Plan ahead 7/22/2010

I purchased and had delivered 3 yards of 3/4 "" rock for landscaping a property. Of the 3 yards, over a half of a yard of the rock was sand. The sand was all together as if scooped. The owner of Bedrock stated that ""it was normal for there to be that much sand in 3 yards"".\r \r After having to prove that it was not normal, they did replace the sand with rock. I had to pay my lanscaper 4 extra hours because of the bad material, plus make 2 trips to the property dealing with it.\r \r I recommend finding a supplier that will give you the correct amount of material that you purchase the first time, not a bunch of excuses when it is obvious they made a mistake.\r \r I also agree with the other review that the Office Staff is quite rude Cons: Bad material cost you more in the Long Run more

Rudeness of the year award 9/17/2009

Over the last year and a half, I have spent several thousand dollars at Bedrock Boulder, so when I had another project, riprap on my sloped lot, I was prepared to give them thousands more. I called to get a recommendation for a contractor to do this and was told I would have to come there to get that info. It's 50 miles round trip, but I figured they would be helpful. I was given some business cards and the top one was for a landscaper specializing in turf so I said that is probably not a good one. The person there said that they do everything and so I said my experience with people who ""do everything"" are not the best for most things, and the response I got was ""I guess you know it all"" and the person walked out of the building. (I guess I was right about the contractor since his phone is disconnected.) OK, so we'll look at the rock while we are here. I then asked about price and coverage and got a run around that the coverage was less for riprap but couldn't get a reason why after several tries. She then suggested we could use block but you could only go up three feet without a permit. I questioned this because it's not a wall, but more like ground cover. I got a snippy ""you need a permit for everything"" response. I tried again to explain it wasn't a wall and got another ""you need a permit for everything, including windows"" which was apparently supposed to be meaningful. When I asked to speak to or contact the person she worked for the response was always ""I'm not going to tell you"". This level of rudeness is unusual, especially in the current economy. My wife who was with me suggested maybe the rock business is a lot better than the rest of the economy. I don't know if the management of Bedrock Boulder cares about losing a customer because I have no way to contact them, and they have certainly lost me as a customer, as well as all the people who ask where I got my rock in my yard. I went there for help and got rudeness. By the way, the California Secretary of State says that their corporation registration is suspended. Pros: Selection Cons: Unhelpful and rude more
