Don't be fooled by big names--Bedford Farms is the best! 7/17/2007

If you're looking for good ice cream in ginormous portions, go to Kimballs. If you are looking for outstanding ice cream in large portions go to Bedford Farms. Personally, I live half way between a location for each, and I've been known to drive past Kimballs and past my house just to go to Bedford Farms. If you like chocolate, try the chunky chocolate pudding!! Pros: Fast, accomodating service; very clean; easy to find; limited indoor seating for buggy nights Cons: Needs more outdoor seating; parking lot occassionally fills (abutting businesses do not seem to mind the occassional overflow) more

The Best Ice Cream Place in Greater Boston 1/20/2006

JP Licks is assuredly a great Ice Cream server, but Bedford Farms in Bedford and Concord is really an outstanding place and in my opinion, has the best ice cream in the Boston area. Kimballs is percieved by a few in the northwest suburbs as having great ice cream, but anyone who honestly believes that was dropped as a kid. There is no competeing with the amazing frappes and ice cream Bedford Farms offers. Especially recommended are Cherry Bomb, White River Junction and Purple Cow Chips(also try Pumpkin in the fall). If you are ever able to, visit Bedford Farms and prepare to be wowed. more
