Becky's Pet Hotel & Grooming

My three Persian cats have been boarded at Becky's (separate cat facility) numerous times during the past 7+ years while living locally. The care they receive has always been very loving and caring. I highly recommend Becky and her staff. Now that I live 35+ miles away, I will still continue to use Becky's facility. As to the 19-year old kitty who passed away -- it was his time and he is in a better place free of injections and such. Shame on the author. ""Breed discrimination"" -- it is too bad but unfortunately pit bulls have gotten a bad reputation just as Doberman's did back in the 1950-60's.. more

Called to make appt. and was asked what breed of dog I have. Told her I had a very sweet pitbull. She didn't want to hear anything else. Just told me we don't do pit bulls and hung up on me. ""Judge the deed not the breed"" more

I am Becky and I cared for ""Innosh"" the 19 year old diabetic cat for Mr. ""A"". This comment above was written by Mrs. ""A"". I talked to Mrs. ""A"" a couple of days after the incident and she told me ""Innosh"" had passed and we both agreed it just was his time. I told her to tell her husband how sorry I was. Only after she recieved the emergency vet bills incured on this Thanksgiving morning did she call me and insist that I pay that bill.Only at that time did she accuse me of not properly caring for her husbands cat. She said this cat was healthy, not so #1 ""Innosh"" was 19 almost 20 years and he was taking 7 units of insulin am and pm that is 14 units of insulin a day. My sister who died of diabetic complcation only took 4 unit am and 4 units pm and she was a full sized adult and ""Innosh was only a 15 lb cat. This is a severely unhealthy animal then combined with his age made him extremely fragile. It was ""innoshs"" time to pass. I took 3 hours of my time to contact ""innoshs"" owner (which I did not charge a dime), transport him to the emergency vet (on thanksgiving morning at Mr. A's request, and stayed with ""innosh"" until the family took over at the vet). When they arrived Mr. A was caressing and sweetly talking to hes loved pet while Mrs. A was rolling her eye in a disgusted manner behind Mr. A's back in front of her children. I was shocked. After talking to the vet I told the family how sorry I was for their loss and left. I did everything I should have to care for ""Innosh"" and followed the owners instruction to the letter. We left our 19 yr old diebetic cat there in a perfectly healthy stage ( his recent medical exam had no health issues besides hearing loss, even our vet was impressed with his health at that age). Becky's called the next day that our cat was not doing well and was asked ""should I just leave him in a blanket wrapped up and let him be, he is not going to make it or do you want me to bring the cat"". Things unfold after that and after 24 hr care in ER, lost his vision and ended up with brain damage, we had to put our cat to sleep. Her blood levels indicated that her sugar levels were way below what they should be which possibly could be of an overdose of insulin... I am not quite sure that if things can unfold so quickly the worst! When I called her she completely denied of any responsibility of what has happened....So, you be the judge.. I am only sharing my experience... more

I HAD to write this review in response to the bizzare review by Mhawkins, below. I have a feeling this is a very unhapppy person, who would write a bad review for God, himself!! I have been taking my pets to Becky's for grooming and boarding for over 30 YEARS and I would think if she is all that bad, I would have had at least one bad experience in all that time, but have absolutely not had a one!! Have always found the staff competent and caring, especially Becky. My pets are part of our family and would ot trust their and well-being with anyone but Bcky and her staff. I think Becky is lucky that Mhawkins has taken her business elsewhere. I would not want that kind of toxin in my shop! I have recommended to many people and none of them have been dissaatisfied. My daughter drives all the way from Sacramento to have her dog groomed there! Our pets have always pulled at the leash to get into to see Becky when we take them. They know they are loved there and I am sure they are a much better judge of character than Mhawkins!! more

I was surprised to see such a rude review below. Becky and her employees have ALWAYS been nice and friendly. I don't always take my dog to get groomed maybe 4 times a year, but they always remember him by name as soon as we walk in. I have been going there for at least 8 years, and she has the same employees. Do you think they would still be there if they didn't like the owner? I think you have your head up your rear end and if Becky was rude to you.....you probably deserved it!! more

Becky's has great people working there. I have been taking my dogs there for a few years and it was always a decent experience, until today. We meet Becky for the 1st time....what a nasty witch! She is rude, has zero customer service skills & treats the animals and human beings like dirt. After giving her a piece of my mind I saw her employee's smiling, she must treat them poorly too. I guess she figures that she has so much business that she doesn't have to be concerned with customer service. She lost my business forever and I strongly recommend you don't take your pets to Nasty Becky. Pros: Her staff is wonderful... Cons: Just hope you never deal with Becky! more

Beckys is not just one of the places that I trust to take care of my dogs, ITS THE ONLY! My two dogs are like my kids, and when I go on vacation, although I would love to take them, sometimes it's just not possible. So I take them to Beckys Pet Hotel. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with big smiles, and a excited hello!!! From there, you instantly feel at ease with leaving your loved one with them. Pros: Right Prices, Friendly Staff, Wonderful Amptmosphere Cons: I don't think I am the only one to know how wonderful this place is, so call ahead, they get booked quickly more
