My experience is you will not receive the $500.00/$600.00 in grocery rebates. \r \r We purchased our furniture last spring. The 1st rebate company went out of business and the 2nd rebate company, My Free Travel, is not honoring anymore rebates. Apparently they have a "shortage of funds" as posted on http://www.groceryrebate.net/. \r \r If you are comparing prices between Becks and another furniture store, DO NOT let this rebate incentive persuade you to purchase at Becks. Beck's $600 in free groceries from "My Free Travel" is a scam. I have been waiting for my visa cards since August. I've jumped through all their hoops and have stood on my head, and still no cards! I've filed complaints with BBB and the Attorney General's Office letting them know this program is a fraud. Don't fall for this false promotion offer! more

Bad experience 9/11/2009

We bought a set of dinette on July 26, 2009. We picked up the table on that day. We were told that the chairs will arrive in two weeks. Today is 09/11 and I was told that the chairs will arrive in the mid or end of Sept. They sound like that they do not know what will happen at the end of Sept. It looks like that other customers have the similar experience. I am very frustrated. Please don't buy anything if the product is not available on the purchase day. I went to Beck's store in Rancho Cordova and it was sad to see the business being ran like that. I mean the customer service was horrible...........The employees was sitting around doing nothing at all! The manager left for the day and it was only 12noon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent service excellent prices 8/14/2009

We just moved here from san jose ca and we checked out alot of furniture stores and found Becks. We were so surprised at the selection they carry and Abdul was our customer representive he took most of the day with us and believe me when I say my wife is very hard to please he was so nice and accommedating we took all day and spent 8,000.00 dollars and the delivery and set-up was also excellent. very unprofessional salespeople! 7/23/2009

went in to look at bedroom sets. salesperson carol offered to help. took us on a tour of the vast sales floor. advised her exactly what we were looking for, king size, platform bedroom set... at first she seemed helpful, offering suggestions, showing different styles. we kept going back & forth across the showroom to see another one per her suggestion but she kept showing us the same ones??? they really didn't have that many different styles of platform beds. saw a few i liked but the quality didn't seem worth the $2000+ i would be spending. decided to look elsewhere. thanked her for her time and for answering my questions but she was very upset. we all walked back towards the front of the store, us to leave and her to stand with the other salespeople waiting one new customers. she proceeded to tell her coworkers in a very loud voice "i just wasted an hour showing them everything and they couldn't make a decision..." at that point i left before i walked over to her & made a worse scene. don't salespeople realize that is what there job is. showing customers their products and answering questions so they can make an informed decision. if i'm going to spend my $$ shouldn't i get what i want? i'm not there to make her happy! becks needs better salespeople. they did have some nice other furniture but i will not go back there. gas card scam 3/19/2009

The $500 gas card promotion is a scam. Called Beck's a dozen times to find out why I'm not receiving my cards and have gotten the run around for months. Finally I did some research on-line on the company was seized by the Florida Attorney General. Now why couldn't Beck's have done a quick Internet search to find the truth? Still waiting for Beck's to tell me how they will resolve the problem. Now they are offering free $500 groceries? Is this the next scam, did they do any homework on this company? Good luck getting you rebate cards! more

OK, Heres the deal with Becks 3/6/2009

1. customer service dept:\r They do try to help the customers as much as they can and only have the authorization to do certain things. So when an issue gets out of hand because a customer starts demanding things because they want some sort of better service at the cheapest furniture store in town, they have to go through their manager who is in a lack of words, a total b**ch. Their customer service department was built solely to handle issues with the furniture that has arrived in peoples houses. And they deal so much with angry, irate customers who don't want to understand how much they are helping, so yeah, they may have become a little callused. They will tell you how it is and how they can help you but if you get crazy with them it definitely does not help the situation. \r 2. Sales dept. :\r SALES DOES NOT TELL YOU EVERYTHING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO MAKE A SALE!!! They will help you as best as they can, but when your looking at something thats not in stock, they should probably tell more

Poor Customer Service 2/10/2009

BECK'S Furniture gets a poor rating for their customer service. We just purchased a piece of furniture and had an issue with the construction. SEVERAL calls and days later it is still not resolved. When we speak with people in the department they are so short with us and not helpful at all. It is unfortunate for the sales team there because they are so nice and they will not get return business if the customer service fails. In this failing economy you would think that business' would do everything in their power to make a customer happy since they are spending money in their store. Well Beck's you really should listen to your customers. We want BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! That means a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, an assuring message that everything will be taken care of, prompt follow up calls and if needed speedy repair/replacement with no/minimal cost to the customer. definately worst customer service ever! 1/4/2009

I had my eye on a leather couch from Becks for 4 months and thought I confirmed the price with 3 different sales people, we finally went in to buy it, and the salesman tells us the tag is wrong and the other sales people are wrong...of course the price is higher! When it's delivered we find out he forgot to order a piece and I had to go pick it up to avoid delivery charges! The quality was horrible the leather is rubbing off on the corners and customer service was no help. They never returned my calls after they sent the technician, I left 3 messages for the Manager, Laura, and still haven't talked to her. I talked to the Assistant Manager, Tina, who must be the most inexperienced customer service person I've ever spoken to. She was so rude, raising her voice and talking over me, I get better customer service at Wal-Mart! I'm escalating this to the Dir. of Operatons ,Dave Acke, and I want to make sure everyone I know does NOT waste their money at Beck's Furniture in Sacramento. I bought my bedroom set from Becks and the 110 lbs, 5'2 tall delivery guy cannot get it throught my stairs. I called the customer service to complain and landed on Stacy, that's my worst day..she was rude, unprofessional. You just feel like they are doing everything in their power to get the store get into some type of bankcrupcy. Those people don't want to sell, they care less about customers; finally, I have to return the items and go get them at "One Stop Furniture" (916-927-1847). With exactly same items, they did not have any problem getting them TV memoire, drawer through my stairs... Great Store and Products! 9/12/2008

I bought a whole living room and bedroom set & am very pleased. The couch we bought had a scratch on it when we unwrapped it, so that was a bit disappointing....everything can't always be perfect. Our bedroom set is very beautiful. I really like the quality of their products and they have really great financing options if you need it. Unfortunately I ordered a comforter set and it took a month to come in and the sales guy told me 10-14 days! Overall I think they are better than many other furniture stores. more

Worst Customer Service Ever! 8/29/2008

I purchased six dining room chairs from BECKS in Rancho Cordova on 8-28-08. I wanted leather chairs and the salesperson represented to me that the chairs were leather. When I got home I looked closely at the receipt (which was hard to read) and discovered that the chairs were in fact vinyl. My husband returned them to Becks the following day unopened and still in their original boxes. He was told by Tina in Customer Service that there would be a 10% restocking fee. He called me and I spoke to Tina on the phone and explained to her that their salesperson had misrepresented to me that the chairs were leather and I didn't believe we should be charged a restocking fee. She couldn't have been more rude and just kept saying over and over that that was their policy. I will never step foot in a Becks store again and recommend that you don't either. Tina in Customer Service was rude and unprofessional and if she worked for me she would be fired. Pros: None Cons: Worst Customer Service more

I bought a sofa, and of course the sales staff were courteous. We picked it up, and when we got it home we discovered that a cushion had a wrinkle, and it was the wrong color! I called customer service, tried to explain the problem, but Tina would hardly let me finish a sentence - she just kept saying if I didn'/t like it I would have to bring it back for a different one. I tried to explain the issue was not that I didn't like it but that it was not the color I had chosen, and it had a defect. Her response to me was, and I quote "so what, if you don't like it you have to bring it back". I asked to speak to a manager and she said to me "you can't". I then asked to speak to anyone else, and then she said a manager would be in about 10:00. Suffice it to say, I could not wait to end this insulting conversation, and I said I would call back at 10:00. When I called back at 10:00 I was sent to Laura 's (customer service manager) voicemail. Sofa Table and Coffee Table Nightmare 6/9/2008

I purchased a Sofa Table and Coffee table in 2006, but less than 2 years I noticed there was a split in the wood on the top of the of both tables. I made several calls to Becks complaining that I had spent over 800.00 for the tables and it appears that I won't be able to use them after only 1 1/2 years. I was told that I would receive a call back and no one called. I am very dissatified with the quality of the furniture and the customer service! more

best deal in town! 4/14/2008

I bought a recliner sofa 5 yrs. ago and it looks as good today as the day I brought it home. It has never given me a moment's trouble. I went back this year and bought a new microsuede cream-colored sofa for my living room, and couldn't be more pleased with it. People who see it can't believe I paid so little for it. It's comfortable, and looks like a designer piece. Customer service couldn't have been more helpful, and kept it in storage for me two months until I could get moved. I have nothing but praise for them. Of course, there are "cheap" things there, but there are treasures also. I will go back soon to get a dining room table. They were dishonest regarding when the item we purchased was going to be delivered. We told them we would not buy the product if it was going to be more than 4-5 weeks. They really do not care about the customers after the item is already paid for. I would never recomend them. I am using lawn furnitue as livingroom seats. more

Cheaper prices = cheap furniture 11/28/2007

I bought some bedroom furniture for a master bedroom and 2 other rooms. Within 2 months, the master furniture started falling apart. The design of the box spring support was poorly made. After having Becks replace the parts, the supports collapsed again. I ended up making my own custom support for the bed. The Armoire also had issues with the rollers that hold the door closed. These broke in the first 3 months too. Becks replaced the rollers 3-4 times. Cheap design again... One of the beds for the kid's room broke after 1 1/2 years. Becks told me the furniture was made from Soft pine, not hard pine so the screw broke through the soft pine support. What kind of explanation is that? Since it was out of warranty, Becks would not fix the main support for the bed. Pros: none Cons: Cheap furniture that looks expensive. Trust me, your furniture won't last long... more

I walked into Becks in Rancho Cordova and the sales person Tammy was so very helpful and nice. I got just what I wanted and it was delivered on time.
